We feel that euthanasia would be helpful for patients who are near death but if euthanasia was an option for all patients, they would most likely pick that option rather than finding other options to help them with their health condition. This is especially for patients who are dealing with chronic depression as they are at risk of wanting to end their lives. This may also be an issue for those patients who are in a coma for a long time, which would require someone to make the decision on whether they should pull the plug for them. This would be emotionally stressful for the patient's family as one would not want the person to die at all cost.

2. we agree with the patient's decision, this is because she was not happy with the way she was living her life with her disease.  She was also asked for consent on whether she wanted to be put on euthanasia. As seen from the video, she had stated that she was satisfied with all her achievements and overall life. We feel like if the patient wants to be put on euthanasia, we need to respect their decision and give them the right to make the decision on what they wish to do with their health medically. It was also in her best interest. It is expensive to live with a disease and have no official caregiver and having a chronic disease last for their lifetime. However, we think this should be considered the last option after she has approached different types of treatments.

We agree with Nancy's decision. As a team we feel that, euthanasia is a patient's autonomy. Ultimately, it is the patient that is going thru pain and suffering. We feel that it is okay for them to go through euthanasia if it is their decision and they do not want to be a burden to their family.
