Deity - Some people prefer this as a term for God.
The Divine - Another term that can be used for God.
Monotheism - Belief in ONE God.
Almighty - A title sometimes used to describe God as being all powerful. Another term for this is OMNIPOTENT. This means ALL POWERFUL, that he can do anything. This is relevant to creating the world and performing miracles.
Omniscient - Used to describe the idea that God knows everything. Many religious people believe that he even knows what is in their hearts and minds.
Omnibenevolent - Christians believe that God is all good and that he has given us everything in the world - even life comes from him. Everything we have is a gift from God.
Omnipresent - The idea that God is everywhere, watching over the world.
Miracle - This an event that is outside the laws of nature. It brings about good and is believed to be caused by God.
Revelation - This is how God shows (reveals) something of himself to the world. This may be done through prophets, through miracles or through the words of the bible. It gives us a glimpse of his nature.
Awe - This means amazing wonderful, awesome. It can be used when talking about faith in a God. Some people look at the world and are filled with a sense of awe. They believe that it is so amazing that it cannot exist by chance - for these people this sense of awe is proof that God exists.
The Numinous - This term refers to the feeling that God is present. Some people believe that they have a sense of the Numinous when they believe that God is with them. It is a special and personal religious experience.
Authority - Authority refers to where the beliefs came from - what gives them this information. The main source of authority for Christians is the Bible - but there are different views about how this should be viewed.

Many people believe that God is a personal being, therefore it is to be expected that God would want to be involved in human affairs. However this can't happen too often, as this would jeopardise people's free will (the ability to choose for yourself). Therefore people believe that God is revealed occasionally and privately in some people's lives eg, miracles (a fortuitous event believed to have been caused by divine intervention), prayer (communicating with God) and worship.

There are many examples of miracles in the New Testament and Christians may see these as proof of the existence of God and of God’s concern for people.

Many miracles are said to have happened in the world, especially at places of pilgrimage such as Lourdes (France), Santiago de Compostella (Spain), the Holy Land (Israel), Rome (Italy), Canterbury (England) and Walsingham (England), and these are seen as God's will being revealed and as an answer to prayer.

After 45 minutes without a pulse, doctors decided to invite her family into the operating room to say their last goodbyes.

Then what doctors are calling a “miracle” occurred — her heart began beating on its own.

Graupera-Cassimiro has revealed that during the experience, she felt herself floating along a tunnel and seeing spiritual beings, including her father, surrounded in light.

What's even more incredible is that Graupera-Cassimiro suffered no brain damage and made a full recovery.
