What is the meaning of the concept/theme in your perspective?

- Nurses initiating an action/ management in patient’s care

- Must be clearly within the scopes of nursing

How do you think you can contribute?

- To be more proactive in taking charge of the projects and guide junior nurses

- To be the spokesperson of the project

What kind of support do you need?

- Protected time (1 day per week focusing on the project)

- Mentor/Resource person to consult with

- A platform where like-minded nurses can gather thoughts and support each other

What would entice you and your peers to adopt new practices/to learn/to change/to transform?

- Project objectives/outcomes must be very clear to the ground nurses to gain their support

- Outcome is visible

- Seeing the projects been adopted across SingHealth

- Reinforcement of new practices

Not all nurse led project have a definitive goal to aim for

Entice:

getting recognition for effort & time for project
Proper guideline to do project -> better understanding on understanding and doing

Ensure that ideas and suggestions brought up by nurses on the ground are taken into consideration and build onto it during discussions instead of being shot down.

That means other staff may need to bear more works as certain group of people need to do QI project . Then eventually, the QI credits go to who?

Nurse led dose not mean Nurse participate only. Nurse led project will be initiated by nurses, but it only limited to nursing, the projects could includes other healthcare workers e.g. drs, allied health . Nurse can be leader of other health professions !

Meaningful projects that are sustainable. Otherwise, it is just adding on to everyone’s workload 👍🏽

Less restrictions on project topics . Nurses should feel free to embark on whatever clinical topics they are interested in

If the QI project is meant to reduce workload and improve workflow, then it is probably worth it. Therefore it is still important to have a robust project with clear outcome.
