         <description><![CDATA[<div><br><strong>TRANSLATE THE BOOK !<br><br>Abstract :</strong><br>Nowadays translation is an essential activity that puts together cultural and civiliastional spaces from all over the world. Pupils from different countries must find 3 common books recently translated in their language.  <br>Age of participats : 15-18 years<br>Language : french<br><em>Objectives</em> :<br>These activities are made in order to encourage reading pleasure and practice translation through a variety of creative activities ; to encourage pupils to become active translaters ; to cross the cultural bridge with the aid of modern technologies ; to help the pupils realise the European dimension of eTwinning projects.<br><em>Goals</em><br>Pupils interact, share, collaborate on such activities as :<br>* Reading the 3 common books together and sharing their comments<br>* Preparing the translation of a new book written together<br>* Creating the book covering<br>* Making a final product such as a common diary of their common work.<br>The evaluation of the project consists in doing post-cognitive activities with pupils, such as interviews connected to the common work of translation.<br>Technologies :<br> post messages, blogs, slideshows, videos, conduct researches, emails.</div>]]></description>

Students from different countries work together and choose 3 common books written in french by north african authors and already translated in their own language. They comment some strange terms and realities that don t exist in their cultural and civiliastional spaces and try to illustrate them in a new book made in collaboration. They try to adapt these cultural markers to their way of understanding, to their own context. Students write a common books in french in which they includ all these new realities and their own experiences.<br><strong>Description : </strong>The activities focus on translation. Students will be introduced and will participate in collaborative activities which will enable them to develop their creativity. Students will work in mixed nationality groups to discuss, interpret and comment on various texts and work together on creative activities.<br><strong>Objectives : </strong>These activities are made in order to encourage reading pleasure through a variety of creative activities :</div><ol><li>To underline the multicultural quality of translation</li><li>To make students realize the importance of other cultural and civiliastional spaces</li><li>To familiarize students with the methods of translation</li><li>To motivate students to improve their use of the French language through reading and translating authentic texts</li><li>To develop the creativity and the imagination of learning</li><li>To encourage students to become active translaters</li><li>To cross the cultural bridge with the aid of modern technologies</li><li>To help students realize the european dimension of eTwinning project.</li></ol><div><strong>Work proccess :<br>Collaborative activities</strong></div><ol><li><mark>If i was a cultural marker : </mark>students together with their international partners will use their twinspace profiles for answering this question. They will use tools from https ://superherotar.framiq.com/ for creating avatars and giving their opinions.</li><li><mark>Make a cool quizz : </mark>students create interactive quizzes with 5 questions each of them that includ informations related to traditions from the north african space. They will work in real time using live sessions in Twinspace. Tool : https://quizizz.com/</li><li><mark>Define translation ! Questionnaire : </mark>all partener teachers create a collaborative questionnaire that will be published in the Twinspace and presented for students in an online meeting by all partener schools. Tool : https://surveyplanet.com</li><li><mark>Help us ! : </mark>students from each partener country helped by their teacher will create a list of materials that can improve their research and documentation on Padlet.</li><li><mark>Translation club : </mark>students will be mixed in 3 nationality groups so they will meet online and collaborate using https://docs.google.com</li><li><mark>Let s do the BOOK cover : </mark>students find some cultural markers and illustrate them using Powtoon and 3,2,1 and twiddla</li><li><mark>So we found the 3 books ... : </mark>students work concretly on the translation including in their new book all the identified cultural markers. They present through an live event in Twinspace their  new created book.
