I think Coraline is adventures. She loves to explore her new house, on page number 11 she asks her mom what the weird door leads to. Her second (and weird) parents are creepy. For some reason Her second parents want to sew buttons into her eyes on page number 50, so she can stay with them...forever! Creepy right.

I think Coraline is adventurous because on the back it says "Coraline discovered the door a little after they moved into the house." that shows that Coraline was exploring and found the door. Next when it is all foggy outside Coraline talks to Miss Spink on page 15 Miss Spink says "you'd have to be an explorer to find your way around in this fog" and Coraline reply's "i am an explorer" showing us that Coraline likes to explore. Last but not least on page 29 it says "there was a cold and musty smell it smelled like something very old and very slow Coraline went through the door" this shows that Coraline was so adventurous that she went through the spooky door.

I think that Caroline is adventures it does not say a specific age but she looks like shes around ten years old. I know she likes to explore because on page ,37 Caroline says to the rat man"no thank you i'm going out side to explore" to his invite to watch them feed. Also on page 5 the book said"The day after they moved in Caroline went exploring". I also think that she is a bit immature because on page 56 it shows that she ate soda and cake for dinner instead of having something good for her.

I think Coraline is polite. Every time someone disagrees with her, or gets her name incorrectly, she always responds or corrects their mistake in a polite way. For example, on page 37, when the other crazy, old man with the button eyes invites her to watch his rat circus, she politely declines and says "No thank you, I am going outside to explore.", instead of saying something rude and saying no, she showed respect to the older man, and spoke politely. Another example of Coraline being polite is on pages 38 to 42, when she meets the black cat. Even though you can see from her facial expressions that she is irritated with the cat being self-centered, she thinks, "Half of her wanted to be rude to it. The other half wanted to be polite. The polite half won." She managed to bring herself together, and be polite to the self-absorbed cat, even though she was greatly annoyed. Coraline controlled her annoyance and used polite words like "please" and "thank you" to the cat. Another example of politeness of Coraline comes from page 4, when the crazy old man gets her name wrong, calling her Caroline instead of Coraline. She states, "No. I asked you not to call me Caroline. It's Coraline." With the illustrations, you can see there is a slight smile on her face, which shows that she meant no disrespect, and she intended to correct him with the most politeness possible. Coraline always stands up for her beliefs, without being impolite, or disrespectful. This is a fantastic quality to have in yourself because you can stand up for yourself, without hurting other people's feelings.

I think that Coraline is unlucky. if you think about it, there are many reasons that Coraline is unlucky, one is that her Mom* tried to sew buttons into her eyes. Another reason that she is unlucky is, that she moved to a house she can explore, that just so happens to have a door that leads to a different world with creepy family that wants to keep her in their world FOREVER. The final reason that Coraline is unlucky is, because when she leaves the creepy flat her real parents dissapear. Don't you think shes unlucky.
