Julia: Julia is about 10 years younger than Winston and shares the same feelings toward Big Brother. Living the scandalous life style of sneaking around with Party members is how she gets back at Big Brother and the Party. This article discusses how the government is invading our everyday life through technology. The technology that is used 24/7 in our lives to communicate with others is also a way for the government to see what we are up to. For example, one of the end goals in the society/governments mind is that no one is higher than another. Everyone will be equal and there will be no such thing as individualism. Another example is that both have a main character that wants to change the way that the society is run. Dislikes: I did not like how the book ended. It did not keep Winston's true personality in tack as things started to move towards the end.
