According to Middleton, J. (2003), strategic analysis refers to the process of conducting research on business environment within which an organization operates and on the organization itself, in order to formulate the strategy. Worrell, L. (2010) agree with Middleton, J. (2003) a theoretically informed understanding of the environment in which a company is operating, together with its environment in order to improve organizational efficiency and effectiveness by increasing the company’s capacity to deploy and redeploy its resources intelligently”. Strategic analysis basically includes evaluating of data relevant to formulate the strategy, analyzing the internal and external environment and a range of analytical methods to be deployed in the analysis, SWOT analysis, Porters Five, and PEST analysis of the organization.

According to Quick M. B. A (2001), strategic planning is the vital tool for a business as it provides companies with measurable objectives that aid in daily decision-making. This planning process helps prevent companies from aimlessly performing business tasks without set priorities or a real purpose. There are several key components that make up the strategic planning process, including common phases like strategic analysis and strategy formulation, along with implementation and monitoring. Strategic planning it when an organization formulate a plan for the smoother operating of the company and help to achieve the goals and objectives set by the organization. Evolution of strategic fitness it when an organization check the strategy adopted in response to the environment requirements, resources are suited to the markets strategy, capabilities and structure (Boulton, Dr. W.

Strategic analysis is the systematic process that entails researching an organization's business environment within which it works. Strategic analysis is important in formulating strategic planning, meaning without the analysis it is difficult to plan strategically, with that said, strategic planning is crucial for decision making and smooth working of an organization, with the help of strategic planning the goals and objectives put by the organization can be fulfilled.

To constantly strive to improve, organizations must periodically work out a strategic analysis which will help the organization in question to determine what areas are already doing well and for the organization to function efficiently it is vital to think about how positive changes need to be put to work or implemented.

Strategic analysis is essential if an organization has goals and mission already in line. All existing and leading organizations, well known for their success have years of strategic planning being put to work at different stages, strategic planning is a long-term task that involves on-going and systematic planning and resource investment. The main question any company should consider when performing a strategic analysis is (strategic differentiation, market data) : how is the market constituted? How are the active clients in this sector? While conducting strategic analysis, organizations must know their competitors and be able to define a strategy in that market. A strategy is the determination of the basic long-term goals and objectives of an enterprise, and the adoption of courses of action and the allocation of resources necessary for carrying out those goals. (Nickols, 2016).

Evaluation of the strategic fitness
After intensive analysis and planning of strategy a strategic fitness tool is put in place to evaluate the current being or performance of an organization, this is to see how the organization is capable in achieving the external demands in place, in other words the strategic fit determines the degree to which the organization is matching its resources and its capabilities and the external environment.

From my point of view strategic analysis refers to the process of conducting research on a business/firm and its operating environment to formulate a strategy. Strategic analysis also involves few common factors; namely 1. Identifying and evaluating data relevant to the company's strategy. 2. Defining the internal and external environments to be analysed.
Strategic Planning. My understanding regarding strategic planning is that it is a process of documenting and establishing a direction of your small business, by assessing both where you are and where you are going. The strategic plan gives you a place to record your mission, vision, and values, as well as your long-term goals and the action plans you will use to reach them.

2. Strategic fitness shows the degree to which an organisation is matching its resources and capabilities with the opportunities in the external environment. Strategic fit is related to the resource-based view of the firm which suggests that the key to profitability is not only through positioning and industry selection.

1. According to (Skinner, 2016) Strategic planning is an organizational management activity that is used to set priorities, focus energy and resources, strengthen operations, ensure that employees and other stake holders are working together towards common goals, establish agreement around intended outcomes/results. Creating a strategic plan is key component of planning for growth. It will help you prepare a realistic vision for the future of your business and in doing so can maximize your business and in doing so can maximize your business potential for growth. Strategic planning is about positioning your business as effectively as possible in the market place. So you need to make sure that you conduct as thorough as possible and analysis of both of your business.

2. Strategic analysis is a process that is a process that involves researching on organization business environment within which it operates (Roth, 2015). Strategic analysis is essential if a company has a goal and a mission for themselves. There are two types of strategic analysis:

Internal strategic analysis- This analysis is when organizations look within the organization and identify the positive and negative points. Internal analysis starts from evaluating the performance of the organization. This includes evaluating the potential of an organization. SWOT analysis is one of the techniques for internal strategic analysis.

External strategic analysis: When the organization needs to know about external factors that can be a hindrance in their growth. The organization needs to know how the market functions and consumers react or behave to certain products or services. PESTLE analysis is one of the most widely used external macro-environmental scanning component of external analysis.

3. (Zhou, 2018) Strategic fit evaluates the current performance of an organization/industry. This is necessary to evaluate how the organization is capable to achieve it’s external demands. The matching takes through strategy has the actual resources and capabilities to execute and support the strategy. Strategic fit can be used actively to evaluate the current strategic situation of a company as well as opportunities. A unique combination of resources and competitive advantage which the company can profit from. However, it is important to differentiate between resources and capabilities. Resources relate to the inputs to production owned by the company where as capabilities describe the accumulation of learning the company possesses.

References

Roth, A.

Priyanki Baruah (2019) state Strategy is a plan of action taken by managers to achieve the company's overall goal and other subsidiary goals. Strategic analysis planning helps marketers determine organizational success, make effective operational decisions and set organizational goals. Strategic analysis should be conducted continuously to determine organizational success and where improvement is needed. It is also known as a long-term duty that involves systematic planning and resource investment. Strategic analysis planning involves three levels which are:

1. Corporate level- focuses on high level strategic decisions which help the sustain it profitability.
2. Business level- focus on a market position to help a company gain a competitive advantage in the industry.
3. Functional level- this planning level focus on activities that occurs within different functions with the aim of improving efficiency.

Furthermore, Bhadi (2020), elaborate planning process provides better understanding of internal and external environmental factor that may have impact on the company. The internal environmental factors are analyzed using the company's SWOT analysis. SWOT analysis give a better understand of the weaknesses and threats of the company such limitations that currently exist as well as that may exist in the near future. Internal factors give clarity about competitors, employees opinions, partner/client's likes & dislikes and financial constraints. However, the external environmental factors are analyzed using PESTLE variables to provide an insight of opportunities and threats such as customer preferences, economic fluctuation and customer preferences.

According to Shannon sage (2019) after putting a plan is in place, the next step is to evaluate the variable aspect to guide in process, re-look if your plan connect vision with vision, if your plan is realistic,, balanced, complete and is the document clear.
References
1.

Strategic Analysis and Planning

Strategic planning is operationalised systematic process in which an organisation formulate to analyse its strategic goals (George,2017). Strategic planning can also be known as an objective, logical systematic way in which the decision makers make major decisions in an organisation. (David et.al, 2009). Strategic planning has a good effect, a positive performance across certain industries where management make decisions in response to changing environmental conditions to enhance performance (Anderson, 2000). Stating further that strategic planning may be popular because it seems to work in certain circumstances where its helps decision makers to have a clear understanding of what the organisation should be doing how and why, in other words strategic planning may give a way of knowing how to help decision makers make decision in some circumstances (Bryson et.al, 2009). Strategic planning analyses elements such as organisation mandate, mission, vision and values should be analysed, organisation analyses internal and external environment identification of issues is based on the analyses and formulation of goals, strategies and plans on how to address the issues (Monster et.al, 2019).

Evaluation of Strategic Fitness

Proper linkage is the key between manufacturing operations and strategy to sustain competitive advantage, for the organisation to cope with global competition and rapid change in environment they must formulate strategic plan that are consistent with their manufacturing strategies and capabilities these rapid change in markets and technology can increase uncertainty and complexity will create a new competitive environment (Rahman and Rahman, 2019). Strategic fit plays a very important role in the structuring and planning of strategic operations, new products are being introduced if the organisation is strategic fit and improve productive capacity, strategic fit enables the organisation to respond to the rapid change, strategic fic enables the organisation to meet or matches or meet market requirements and the operational capabilities (Hashen and Almaan, 2019). Strategic fit can be aligned with one hand to another hand of the organisation internal and external organisational resources, external fit refers to business strategy and operational strategy – the alignment between the two and internal fit refers to company practices, policies and duties (George, 2017). Explaining further in order for an organisation to maximize it competitive advantage it must first look and match it resources and it internal capabilities with elements of change in the external environment (Alshebli, 2016). Strategic fitness objective is to promote within the organisation and other organisation, it also aims at stirring the organisation into achieving stability and developing in an ongoing manner (Hashen and Al maan, 2019). Also strategic fit is the match between similar variables, strategic fit is defined as an internal alignment or internal consistency, strategic fit plays an important role in building and developing strategic management theories (Aila, et.al, 2015).

References.

1.Ojera, P., Ochieng, I. and Aila, F. 2015.

Bhat, A.(2018), strategic planning is the process that involves researching an organisation's business environment within which it operates. strategic analysis is essential to formulate strategic planning for decision making and smooth working of that organisation
The strategic planning process, it is the process because it involve different levels namely, corporate strategy, business strategy, functional strategy and operating strategy. Also involve the several common factors need to be followed when you strategies firstly, identifying and evaluating data relevant to the company's strategy to make clear for everyone, secondly, define the internal and external environments to be analyzed by knowing what current happening in the organisation together wit the external factors about the competitors what are they like and what are they do not like to gain a competitive advantage and market share.

2. Strategic Planning
The term strategy planning was widely believed to be the answer for all problems facing organisation. on his part Hughes (2012) states strategic planning is a process that focuses on strategic and operational goals, programs and activities that are designed to achieve the aims and desired results. in other words strategic planning it a guide to the leaders to determine what is needed to be in a future and how they are going to reach this targeted level and position. In other hand it is a fundamental decision that comes with the discipline effort that can produce the straight forward direction of the organisation
Therefore, a strategic plan is a tool for defining the organisational direction and determines the objectives, goals of the organisation that are realistic as possible and attainable but also challenging enough( Tapera, 2016).
By doing all that is mention above you unable your organisation to perform in a level that no competitors can beat them and be a market leader and profitability as organisations get valuable insights of market trends, consumer segments and available product/ service or program offering.

3. Evaluation of strategic fitness.

Evaluation of strategy is all about analyzing your strategic plan and assessing how well you have done against achieving the goals, objectives and how much progress have we made towards our vision, are our strategic focus areas still relevant, which of our objectives is completed and which one are no longer needed and lastly where we fell short of our targets, why did this happen so that we will be effective and efficient in the organisation(Hill , Jones, 2019).

REFERENCE LIST
Tanuja A.

Drucker, Peter(1954) define strategic planning as a process and thus has inputs, activities , outputs and outcomes. This process, like all processes, has constraints . It may be formal or informal and is typically iterative , with feedback loops throughout the process . some elements of the process of the process may be continuous and others may be executed as discrete projects with a definitive start and end during a period. Strategic planning provides inputs for strategic thinking , which guides the actual strategy formation. Typical strategic planning efforts include the evaluation of the organisation's mission and strategic issues to strengthen current practices and determine the need for new programming.
2. Kiechel, Water ( 2010) strategic fitness evaluates the current performance of an organization/industry. This is necessary to evaluate how the organisation is capable to achieve its external demands. This strategy executes the organizational capability and indicates how much the organization utilizes its resources and its capabilities.

Reference list
^Kiechel, Water (2010).

I have understood that strategic planning is the process of documenting and establishing a direction of your small business by assessing both where you are and where you are going. the strategic plan fives you a place to record your mission, vision and values as well as your long term goals and the action plans you use to reach them.

I have also found Steiner, G. A., (2010), clarifying that a well written strategic plan can play a pivotal role in your small business growth and success because it tells you and your employees how to respond to opportunities and challenges. Despite the benefit of having a strategic plan in place, a growing number of small business owners are not focusing on the long term strategies of their business. The fact that in a 2008 constant contact survey of 1005 small business owners, 63% said they plan only a year (or less) in advance, It has brought an understanding to me that strategic plan is crucial as it can take some time but it is beneficial to everyone involved.

Further to the above statement I have also understood strategic analysis as a process that involves researching an organisation's business environment within which it operates. Strategic analysis is essential to formulate strategic planning for decision making and smooth working of the organisation, strategic analysis also include SWOT analysis which are internal strategic analysis and PESTEL analysis which is then the external strategic analysis scenario planning.

I have also understood that the strategic analysis is the crucial role in decision making process, strategic analysis often brings often the important information about evaluation and development of environment inside and outside the economy and reveals possible opportunities and treats that need to be considered in strategic decision making.

Evaluation of strategic fitness
The strategic evaluation process involves analysing the strategic plan and assessing how well you have done against achieving the goals in the strategy. It is a broader internal analysis tool and should be used as part a broader strategic analysis for the organisation when making decision about the strategy Hall, R., (1992).

Strategic fit can be used actively to evaluate the current strategic situation of a company as well as opportunities, it is an important tool for assessing how the business has perfumed, relative to it goals. It is an important way to reflect on achievements on shortcoming and it is also useful for re-examining the goals themselves which may have been set at a different time under different circumstances.

Strategic fit expresses the degree to which an organisation is matching its resources and capabilities with the opportunities in the external environmental. the matching takes place trough strategy and it is vital that the company has the actual resources and capabilities to execute and support the strategy, it requires that all functions within a firm and stages in the supply chain target the same goals, one that is consistent with customer needs.

References
Steiner, G.A., 2010. Strategic planning.

Strategic analysis focuses on scanning the environment the organisation operates in. Environmental analysis seeks information about business operations(company resources and macro-environmental factors that affect business operations), the market(customers), and its competitors. This information is essential for management planning and decision making, in order to come up with strategies that will help the organisation to improve and succeed.

After the environmental analysis has been done, the strategy is then developed and put to action. Strategy formulation depends on the feedback generated from analyzing the environment. From competitor analysis, competitive strategies can be developed to gain competitive advantage over our competitors. Resource analysis determine whether the organisation has the capacity to implement strategies that will help gain competitive advantage. The PESTLEG analysis provides threats that may prevent and opportunities that may allow the implementation of generic strategies. From customer analysis, customers can then be grouped into different segments, the process then continues to targeting customers, positioning and coming up with growth strategies that are influenced by customer analysis.

2. Evaluation of strategic fitness
This is done to observe the level of connection between the operating environment, marketing strategy and organisational resources. It observes if the organisation has enough resources to carry out the marketing strategy, are the available resources right for the market depending on feedback from external factors analysis. Finally, the marketing strategy is then modified to fit the markets' needs. The evaluation of strategic fitness assesses if the marketing strategy is fit to to meet customer's requirements and deliver the desired outcomes.

Strategic analysis refers to the process of researching an organization and it's working environment to formulate a strategy. There are many other definitions of strategic analysis with a different perspective. But they all involve a lot of common factors. Strategic analysis of an organization is an essential factor when it comes to formulating a plan for the smoother working of your company. With the help of strategic planning, you can achieve the goals or objectives set by the company. Improvement is the one constant in any company. You need to keep improving your organization. So, to educate yourself, you must periodically conduct strategic analysis. This will then help your organization to plan ahead and determine which areas need improvement.
While you are conducting strategic analysis, you must have a good knowledge of your competitors, so you can define a strategy that will help you stand apart from them and remain competitive. One of the most critical functions of strategic analysis is the prediction of future events and the planning of an alternative approach if the first strategy doesn't work out.
There are a few types of strategic analysis you should consider.
Internal strategic analysis
Internal Strategic Analysis will give you an overview of the functioning of your own company. In this analysis, you assess and analyze your strengths and weaknesses, and establish a strategy that will help you improve the image of your company. The internal investigation starts with evaluating the performance and future potential of the company and its capacity to grow. Analysis of strengths and weaknesses of the company should be solely based on the market situation and client response. The strengths only make sense when they are giving your client complete satisfaction with your service. Along with the strengths, the strategist should also be aware of the weaknesses and liabilities of the company at that moment. The company can grow at an exponential rate if you have a sound strategy planned.
External strategic analysis
Once the organization has completed its internal analysis, they can move on to the external review. Many external factors can act as a roadblock to the organization's growth. To conduct an external strategic analysis, you need to know how the market functions and what the consumers require. You need to measure customer satisfaction towards your and your competitors' products so that you can get an overview of how the market functions.
Strategic analysis tools
SWOT
SWOT (Strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats) is a framework used to evaluate a company's competitive position in the market and to develop strategic planning.

SWOT analysis assesses internal and external factors, as well as the present and future potential of your organization. Let's take a look at every element of the study.
PESTLE
We use the PESTLE analysis to find out the environmental factors which can impact your business. PESTLE stands for Political, Economical, Social, Technological, Legal and Economical analysis. All of these factors determine the strategic performance of your company. PESTLE analysis consists of the most impactful elements of any business.
Strategy Evaluation
The strategy evaluation process involves analyzing your strategic plan and assessing how well you've done against achieving the goals in your strategy. A strategy evaluation is an internal analysis tool and should be used as part of a broader strategic analysis for the organization when making decisions about your strategy At the very least, you need to evaluate your strategy twice a year - or better yet, every quarter.
Even if you feel as though your existing strategy is 'too far gone' and needs a fresh start, you'll want to perform a thorough strategy evaluation of what went wrong last time around. The mistake that people often make when it comes to strategy execution, is thinking of their strategy as a linear set of steps. I'm sure you've all seen those PowerPoint slides with the strategy running from left-to-right on the page? In reality, strategy is a circular process of constant iteration and evolution. A good strategy should never really 'end'. Rather, it should morph into something more ambitious and sophisticated as goals are met. The way we envisage strategy at Cascade is as a wheel said Tom Wright (2019).

According to a Cleverism blog article by Anastasia Belyn 2019, strategy marketing is a process of planning, developing and implementing a number of maneuvers to help gain a competitive advantage in a chosen market. In the below content I will be discussing strategic analysis and planning including evaluation of strategic fitness as a process of strategic marketing.

Strategic Analysis & Planning

Strategic analysis or environmental scanning is a process of investigating the organizational internal environment and the external environment, which is crucial before beginning with the formulation of a new strategy.(Bhat Adi, 2020)

In the Internal Environment the marketer firstly needs to understand the mission and vision of the organisation to determine the desired direction the company wants to take and why. The process thereafter proceeds to complete a SWOT or TOWS analysis, evaluating the strengths, weaknesses of the company and forest opportunities including threats that might avail themselves.

An internal analysis will help determine if the company has sufficient resources and the talent capable for the achievement of its vision. This will also clarify its current position in the market it operates in and how it is perceived.(Tomczak T, Reinecke S, Kuss A, 2018)

In the External Environment, the process continues after a complete internal scanning and move to understanding the market it operates in as a whole and the factors that influence it. This process often requires the use of a P.E.S.T.L.E analysis, which is conducting a look of research on factors including politics; economics; social issues; technology advancement; law and legal matters and environmental policies. A marketer should also pay attention to the behaviour of its target audience and gain a clear understanding of how they buy.(Tomczak T, Reinecke S, Kuss A, 2018)

Evaluating Strategic Fitness

After getting a proper and defined understanding of your capabilities as an organisation or marketing department and the resources that are availible, the marketer can combine that with the facts gathered from the external environment research to evaluate the strategic fitness and formulate an effective strategy. An effective strategy needs to be a thought out plan for offering value and a solution to your market.(Belyn A 2019)

Strategic fitness is a principle that considers the degree of alignment between the resources and capabilities at the organisation's disposal for its strategy and the operating environment. This is an evaluation of strengths that the organisation has in alignment to the opportunities available in the market.

References

Belyh A 2019, The Strategic Marketing Process: A complete Guide.

John Wiley (1998) refers to strategic analysis as the process of researching an organization and its working environment to formulate a strategy. he further describes environmental analysis as a critical part of the strategic management planning process. The SWOT (Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities, Threats) framework is proposed by many as an analytical tool which should be used to categorize significant environmental factors both internal and external to the organization, there are five stages of the planning process, namely;goal-setting, analysis, strategy formation, strategy implementation and strategy monitoring."Organizations under perform and sometimes fail because their leaders are unable to learn the unvarnished truth from relevant stakeholders about how the design and behavior of the organization is misaligned with its goals and strategy." The Strategic Fitness Process was designed to enable leaders to overcome organizational silence about the misalignment with the environment and chosen strategy. By enabling an honest, organization-wide and public conversation, senior management teams, working collaboratively with scholar-consultants and organizational members, have access to valid data (the unvarnished truth), can conduct a valid diagnosis, and can develop a valid plan to change the structure, processes, and behavior of an organization while at the same time developing commitment that ensures execution.

1.1 Strategic analysis
Strategic analysis is an essential factor when it comes to formulating a plan for the smoother working of your company. Strategic analysis refers to the process of researching an organization and its working environment to formulate a strategy (Gonzales-Benito et al. 2014). It helps the organization to plan ahead and determine which areas need improvement. It further assists in making the organization aware of its competitors so that it will be able to define a proper and accurate strategy that creates a competitive advantage. Strategic analysis is crucial for predicting future events as well as plans for an alternative approach if plan A doesn’t work out. The strategic analysis has two components which are internal and external strategic analysis. The internal strategic analysis gives an overview of the functioning of the company, assess and analyzes the company’s strengths and weaknesses, and establish a strategy that will help you improve your company image. The external analysis makes the organization aware of how the market functions and what consumers require, it measures customer satisfaction towards the organization's products and those of competitors’. This is done to get an overview of how the market functions

1.2 Strategic Planning
The strategic planning process refers to the steps an organization goes through when planning. This process begins by first determining the mission statement, which answers why the organization exists (Boateng and Amponsah. 2015). Thereafter, it determines where you are now as a business by analyzing both internal and external data. This is achieved by utilizing a strategic thinking tool called a SWOT Analysis. The next step is to determine the organization's vision statement, which states the direction of the company, and where it wishes to be in the future. Thereafter, it focuses on articulating long term strategic objectives, and short term goals, using the SMART approach. These goals are then broken down into functional, departmental, and individual levels. The strategic plan also focuses on how the plan will be executed and ensures that the plan is clear to all organizational members.

2.0 Evaluation of strategic fitness

Strategic fitness means the meeting of the organization’s external environment with its resources, and capabilities (Rahman and Rahman. 2019. This strategy executes organizational capabilities and indicates how much the organization utilizes its resources and its capabilities. Strategic fitness evaluates the current performance of an organization. It is necessary to evaluate how the organization is capable of achieving its external demands. Strategic fitness requires that all functions within an organization and stages in the supply chain target the same goal, one that is consistent with customer needs.

Reference List

Boateng, P.A., and Amponsah, E.B. It is a disciplined effort that produces fundamental decisions and actions that shape and guide what an organization is, who it serves, what it does, and why it does it, with a focus on the future.

Strategic Analysis refers to the process of developing a business strategy by searching the business and the environment it operates in Kiechel, Walter (2010). Strategic analysis helps organisation to create an effective business strategy. Strategic analysistools that are commonly used are SWOT Analysis. Which studies the internal and external environment. In the internal environment we have employees, company policies, products manufacturing etc. Organisation has full control over it. However, in the external environment organisation has no control, which are competitors, government regulators, technology, international trade laws. Another strategic analysis is PESTEL analysis only focuses on the external environment. This tool identify and analyse problems that need to be solved. Another tool is Porters five forces which specifically focuses on the businesse's competitors.

According to George et al. (2019) strategic planning involves setting strategic goals, determining actions to achieve the goal and mobilising resources to execute the actions. A strategy describes how goals will be achieved through organisation resources. A strategy can be planned or can be observed as a pattern of activity. Five P's can be used to have a good strategy: plans, patterns, position, perspective and ploys. Topera (2016) states that strategic planning is a process whose results should be innovative and creative ideas.

Strategic fit of an organisation defines how well the resources and capability matched with the opportunities to the external environments. According to Quinn and James B. (1996) strategy evaluation involves analysing business strategic plan and assessing how well organisation has done against achieving the goals. It is an internal tool. When organisation evaluate strategy they involve questions such as which objectives are no longer needed? Which objectives have we completed? Are organisation focuses areas still relevant? and how much progress have we made towards our vision?. Grant and Robert N. (2007) states that organisation need to evaluate strategy twice a year-or better yet every quarter.

References
1. Rumelt, Richard P. (2011). Good strategy/ Bad strategy. Crown Business.
The strategic analysis can be defined as a process for investigating an organization's business environment within which the enterprise is performing. Strategic analysis is needed to formulate strategic planning and smooth operation of the organization for decision-making. Priyanki Baruah (2019). Furthermore this Author r explains that With proper strategic planning the company's goals or objectives can be met.Regardless of the relentless effort to be effective in this competitive environment , business organizations perform strategic analysis regularly to assess which segments require change and which areas do extremely well. In an organization to work efficiently, it is important to know the ways to execute the positive changes. The strategic planning process is the steps you 're going through as a company to decide. The direction of your organisationWhat you are going to do, and for whomHow to calculate and direct your approach to where you want to be (Goals). It is a helpful roadmap for your staff, the organization's leadership and the stakeholders to know where you're going and why you're going.According to Rickard Hagtorn (2018) The method of evaluating the strategy includes examining the action plan and determining how well you have performed with the strategy toward achieving the targets. The assessment of a strategy is an internal analytical method that can be used when making decisions about the plan as part of a larger strategic framework for the company. The process of evaluating the Strategy typically involves answering questions such as:How much progress toward our vision have we made? Will our Strategic Focus Areas remain relevant? What of our goals have we accomplished? What goals are no longer neededDo we have enough Projects to achieve unfinished Goals?Still, are our KPIs effective in measuring progress towards our goals?ReferencesPriyanki Baruah (2019) Strategy Evaluation - How To Do It Correctly available at: https://www.executestrategy.net/blog/strategy-evaluationRickard Hagtorn (2018) Strategic Analysis | Meaning, Use, Types, Methods available at: https://planningtank.com/blog/strategic-analysis

Dladla. FS 21615723

According to my understanding; strategic analysis refers to the process of conducting research on a company and its operating environment to formulate a strategy. By Identifying and evaluating data relevant to the company’s strategy. They also define the internal and external environments to be analyzed and using several analytic methods such as Porter’s five forces analysis, SWOT analysis, and value chain analysis.

Strategic planning is an organization's process of defining its strategy, or direction, and making decisions on allocating its resources to pursue this strategy. It is here that priorities are set. It may also extend to control mechanisms for guiding the implementation of the strategy. According to Mintzberg. H (1996) he agrees that strategic planning can help coordinate planning efforts and measure progress on strategic goals, but that it occurs "around" the strategy formation process rather than within it.

Strategic fit evaluates the current performance of an organization/industry.

KHOMO T. P
21605494
Task 3: STRATEGIC PLANNING

Strategy Analysis
Strategy analysis is utilized by organizations to formulate strategic planning for decision making and also to smooth the workplace of the organization as it helps managers to determine what areas to be enhanced and that are doing well. Due to that reality it allows for companies to use several analytical tools such as Porters Five Force model, SWOT Analysis, PESTEl and Value chain analysis to measure and evaluate the environment in which the business operates.(Anderson, Paul F. 1981).

Strategic planning
According to (Hofer and Schendel 1978) state that "without a clear set of objectives the strategic planning is meaningless". Strategic planning refers to the major link between the goals and objectives the organization want to achieve and the various functional areas policies and operating plans it use to guide its day to day activities.

Internal Strategic Analysis - Organization look within the organization and identify the positive and negative points and establish the set of resources that can be used to improve the company's image within the market. It's start from evaluating the performance of the organization, thus include evaluating the potential of an organization and its capabilities to grow.

External Strategic Analysis - Once the organization has successfully completed it's internal analysis, the organization need to know about external factors that can be a hindrance in their growth. To be able to achieve that, they need to know how market functions and how consumers react to certain product/Services. Measuring customer satisfaction is a common external analysis method.

Evaluation of Strategic Fitness
It refers to breaking down the strategic plan and evaluating how much an organization has done towards accomplishing their goals through strategy. An internal strategy tool that should be used as part of a broader strategy analysis for organization when making a decision about the strategy that would be followed. It provides managers to enhance their strategic capabilities. (Mert, 2016)

References
Anderson, Paul F. (1981), "Marketing investment Analysis", Research in Marketing, 4 Jagdish N. Sheth. On the same note strategies planning it's definined as an organizations process of difining it strategy or direction and decision making on allocation it's resources to pursue their strategy with the aim of achieving it's vision. The relation between these two phenomenon is that they aid an organization in coming up with a suitable strategy that will enable them to reach it's target whilst ecomizing on their resources.

Strategic planning needs to be flexible that's where strategic fitness comes in to play. Strategic fitness is a degree to which an organization matches its resources and capabilities with the opportunies in the external environment. The matching takes place through strategic and it is thus vital that the company has the actual resources and capabilities to execute and support the strategy.

Strategic fitness can be used to evaluate the current strategic situation of the organisation as well as opportunities, tools that can be used actively to evaluate strategies fitness are SWOT matrix values chain analysis and cashflow analysis to name a few.

According to Richard Hall strategic planning is sustainable competitive advantage results from the possession of feedstock of these capabilities differential is intangible resources which ranges from patents and licenses to reputation and know how and reputaion are perceived as the resources which make the most vital contributions to the business success and that for most campanies oparation is most important areas of employees know how.

Environment analysis is critical part of the strategic management planning process. The swot analysis is the framework, perposedby many as categories significant environmental factors both internal and external to the organization.swot analysis has been praised for it's simplicity and practical as frameworkit has been widely adapted but generally it also has been accepted uncritically.

It is evedent that swot analysis can't be viewed as a strategic analysis tool with emphasis solely on it's output, its should be used as a dynamic part of management and business development process.

References list
Richard, h, 2007 literature review strategic management.
