It is said that her cells could weigh 50 million metric tons due to how many times they have multiplied over the years.

The family feels violated due to the enormous profits made from the biomedical industry and the lack of recognition of Henrietta Lacks and the family has received.
Johns Hopkins and the Lacks Family are currently working together to change this. 
In the future, Henrietta Lacks, the woman who gave so much to modern medicine and our society, will hopefully be properly recognized for her contribution.
