Search Engine Optimization is the process of increasing the profitability of a particular company's website emerging from a search. After searching "Where can I book a vacation" on Google search, a list of travel companies appear including Expedia, Hotwire and Travelocity. However, Bookit is the search's top result with a 4.5 customer rating. Bookit's website is easy to read and helps customers customize their travel/vacation bookings. At the top of the website, deals, such as saving 65% off resorts and promoting that members save more, leads to customer attraction and possible customer loyalty. I noticed the further I scrolled down the web-page, the more captivated and excited I became about a trip I wasn't even planning. This illustrates how Bookit spent their advertising expenditures wisely because not only did customers rate the company almost 5 stars, but the easy-to-follow and fascinating promotions led me to want to book a vacation during a school assignment. Furthermore, these results correlates with Integrated Advertising, Promotion, and Marketing Communications's concept, "consumers were 20 percent more likely to have a positive perception of the brand" and "30 percent more likely to consider purchasing the brand". Looking through the other travel companies' websites, I discovered the competition wasn't as straight forward with their deals. Although looks and posh can be very appealing, if a company's website is not going the extra mile to bewitch customers, then the company's advertising strategy is not effective and should probably focus on spending money on SEO to drive sales.
