For me, we acquire language through listening and practice; since it is native, we just react to sounds, gestures, and imitation of the language.

I have no idea what my first word as a baby was, my parents weren’t good at family communication. But I do know what my daughter’s first word was, and it was Mom.

  • Yes, I have wondered about how we aquire our language before. Not only our mother tongue, but how humans developed language as a whole. When we learned about it in Desarrollo del Lenguaje, I found all the different theories quite interesting.
