  • St. Elizabeth of Hungary showed how God created us good through her actions. Instead of living a life of nobility she decided to give it all up for a different lifestyle devoted to charity. Even when she was just a toddler she showed God's goodness. Elizabeth would give a kind word or gesture to the poor and this was the start of her care for others. She risked her health by surrounding herself with the sick and gave food to those who needed it.

Because of her actions of giving St. Elizabeth of Hungary became the patron saint of charity.
