In the nicer wether I will bike to school because it is not that far of bike. This dark water attracts more sun then the ice and heats up everything around it quicker. This causes more ice to melt even quicker and the cycle continues. I have also learned about ice quakes. These are the deep cracking sound as ice breaks off of glaciers.
