It wasn't an extremely big decision, but it was still surgery, which can be very scary and dangerous. It was a collaborative decision that both of my parents and I made together. There were several factors; the cost, the danger, the possible bad results. We decided that we were the only people that needed to have a say in this decision because they are my parents and I was the one who was actually getting surgery.
