“whoever follows a path in search of knowledge, Allah will make the path to paradise easy for him.”

📝 outward etiquette

• revise and review regularly

• take proper notes

To conclude, seeking knowledge is not just about acquiring information but it is also involves cultivating good manners which are both outwardly and inwardly such as maintaining sincere intentions and showing respect which ultimately help us gain Allah’s pleasure.

the main focus of this hadith is on the pillars of islam and the importance of seeking knowledge.

nowadays, many people struggle with fulfilling basic religious obligations such as covering their aurah properly and performing prayers correctly, even though they identify as muslims. this shows a lack of sincerity in worship.

therefore, it is important to improve our prayers and fasting, avoid wastefulness, especially in food, and take zakat and hajj seriously for those who are able.

the pillars of islam serve to strengthen both our relationship with Allah and our relationship with other people.

🫧 we should:

• pray in congregation

• guard and preserve our faith

• stay away from major sins

• strive to be obedient servants of Allah

this the most important pillar for every muslim. the quran is complete and perfect, and there is no god worthy of worship except Allah. we should read, understand and reflect on the quran to strengthen our faith.

📬 belief in the angels

angels are creations of Allah made from light. each angel has specific duties and they never commit sins. we should always remember that angels are constantly observing us, especially during fajr and asr times.

📬 belief in the scriptures

we must read, understand and follow the teachings of the quran and practice them in our daily lives. the quran provides complete guidance in terms of morality, laws and righteous actions. taddabur on the quran helps us apply its teachings practically. we are also encouraged to share quranic lessons and stories with others.

the language of the quran is unique and special, serving as a timeless guide for life. while modern science explains how certain phenomena occur, the quran has already mentioned many of these truths long ago.

☁️ to conclude, the pillars of iman are essential sources of guidance for every muslim. they strengthen our iman and provide a clear path for living a righteous life.

belief in the messengers is a crucial pillar of faith. Allah sent prophets and messengers to every nation and it is obligatory for us to believe in all of them. anyone who rejects even one of the messengers is considered a disbeliever.

we must believe in their teachings and follow the sunnah and shariah of prophet muhammad. unlike previous prophets who were sent to specific communities, prophet muhammad was sent to all of humanity and jinn. his role was to deliver Allah’s message, guide people to worship Allah alone and lead them towards paradise while protecting them from hell.

this world is a test, and belief in the prophets teaches us to have faith in the unseen. prophet muhammad was unique, Allah instilled fear in the hearts of his enemies when they encountered him. he was also granted special rulings, such as the permissibility of war spoils for him, unlike other prophets.

examples from the prophet’s character:

🌷 gratitude : always appreciated those who did good to him.

🌷 tolerance : made things easy for people and never to burden them.

🌷 repentance : sought forgiveness from Allah more than 70 times a day.

🌷 moderation : lived a simple and humble life.

📬 belief in the day of judgement

believing in the day of judgement means having faith in life after death and the ultimate destruction of this world.

importance of this belief:

• reminds us that there is no second life so we must use this one wisely.

• encourages people to avoid sins out of fear of Allah’s punishment.

• strengthens patience during hardships and eases suffering.

• motivates us to strive and persevere in facing life’s tests with faith.

📬 belief in qada and qadar

belief Allah’s decree brings peace and tranquility to the heart.

• qadar refers to Allah’s eternal knowledge and planning. he knows everything before it happens and has written the destiny of all his creation.

• qada refers to the actual execution of that decree.

four components of qada and qadar:

🫧 knowledge : Allah knows everything that has happened and will happen, even before it exists.

🫧 writing : Allah has recorded everything, including the destiny of every servant.

🫧 will : nothing happens except by Allah’s permission and will.

🫧 creation : life, death and all events are created by Allah.

benefits of believing qada and qadar:

• brings inner peace, removing anxiety about the past and future.

• helps us focus on the present and move forward with strength.

• teaches humility, gratitude and reliance upon Allah.

• purifies the heart from negative traits like jealousy and envy.

• shapes good character, strengthens faith and increases thankfulness.

those who do not believe in the day of judgement fall into kufr, which leads to severe consequences in the hereafter. the events of the day of judgment represent the most terrifying and decisive moment for all creation.

in this world, sometimes good people are taken advantage of and evil people seem to escape punishment. however, true justice will be delivered in the hereafter.

the concept of ihsan which is doing good deeds with sincerity and excellence encourages muslims to worship Allah wholeheartedly, maintain good character and avoid even minor sins. a muhsin (a person who practices ihsan) reaches a level of faith where they fear committing even the smallest wrong.

belief in the hereafter motivates muslims to worship sincerely, bring positive impact to others and work towards achieving peace and harmony in life.

• women will outnumber men.

• earthquakes will increase in frequency.

• righteous deeds will become rare.

• music will become widespread and popular.

• people will turn to astrology and fortune telling.

• time will pass quickly.

• the deserts of Saudi Arabia will turn green.

• people will compete to build tall buildings.

major signs 💢:

• the appearance of dajjal.

• the coming of imam mahdi, who will restore justice for seven years.

• the emergence of Gog and Magog.

• the appearance of dukhan which is a thick smoke covering the earth.

• a massive fire from Yemen driving people to the gathering place.

• the sun rising from the west, marking the closing of repentance.

comes from the arabic root أدب meaning to refine, educate, or discipline. refers to manners, etiquette, good conduct, refinement and proper behavior.

💌 in Islam, adab means practicing good morals and actions derived from Islamic teachings. it is both a quality and a process — something that can be learned and developed.

Adab vs. Akhlaq

🍎 akhlak = moral philosophy (the “why” behind good or bad actions).

🍎 adab = practical application of morals (the “how” of behavior).

adab reflects akhlak in action, from words to deeds.

Adab with Parents (based on Qur’an Surah Maryam 19:41–50)

Prophet Ibrahim A.S. is an example of showing respect to his father despite his father’s disbelief. He spoke with love, avoided insults, and invited his father kindly to truth. He highlighted the weakness of idol worship without being harsh. He humbly mentioned the knowledge granted to him without boasting. He warned his father about Satan’s disobedience and Allah’s punishment, out of concern and love.

When threatened with violence, he responded with peace, promised to pray for his father, and distanced himself respectfully. Allah rewarded him with a blessed family (Ishaq and Ya’qub), both Prophets, and granted them honor.

🎈 Adab requires respect, patience, humility, and wisdom even in disagreement. True manners are tested in how one treats parents and elders, especially in matters of faith. Adab is not just politeness but a reflection of Islamic values in everyday life.
