         <description><![CDATA[<div><strong>Creatine supplements:</strong> (Include what the supplement is, who it is for, what is its WADA legal status, what are the performance benefits and risks of taking creatine?<br><br>-Creatine: an occurring amino acid which is found in meat and fish and made by the human body in the liver, kidneys and pancreas <br><br>- Creatine is a supplementation where you consume the synthetic form of creatine taken for an ergogenic effect <br>-It is taken by athletes in powder form added to water or a protein shake <br>-It most commonly taken in 3g per day with some athletes, take creatine on a cycle of 4weeks on 2 weeks off<br>The benefits are:<br><br>-increased PC stores<br>-delayed threshold of ATP-PC<br>-Increased power and strength<br>-Increased RSA (alertness)<br>-Speed up photosynthesis<br>-Can help to aid recovery process with high intensity exercise.<br><br>The risks of creatine are-<br>-weight gain due to water retention in muscles. <br>- potential muscles cramp or strain<br>- gastrointestinal distress<br><br>-Sporting examples <br>-games players<br>-100m sprinters <br>-weightlifters <br>-athletes with a heavy game schedule like hockey players during Olympic Games <br><br></div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div><strong>Bicarbonate:</strong> Include what the supplement is, who is it for, what is its WADA legal status, what are the performance benefits and risks of taking bicarbonate?<br><br><br>Bicarbonate is an alkaline that neutralises acid so it acts to regulate the body's pH as a buffer to lactic acid which delays fatigue for the performer.<br><br>Bicarbonate would be consumed by mainly speed endurance athletes like 400m, 800m runners and 100m swimmers.<br><br>According to the World Anti Doping Agency(WADA) bicarbonate is a legal substance.<br><br>Benefits include increased buffering capacity and increased tolerance to lactic acid delaying Onset of Lactic Acid Accumulation(OBLA). This increases the intensity and duration of the performance.<br><br>However risks includes possible gastrointestinal problems, nausea and bloating occurring. There is also an unpleasant taste which may put the performer off of consuming the product</div>]]></description>
