<title>I will make sure that children feel valued, heard, and supported in their own activism. When children show interest in being advocates in our community, I will ensure that they have the necessary resources and materials to implement their ideas and, in turn, lead to change. </title>

<title> In my classroom I want to work towards creating an environment where children feel welcomed and supported in their activism, by working with other settings like museums as well as other people. Additionally, I want to be able to have professional development where I can continue to learn more strategies to help support child&#39;s advocacy. </title>

<title>One way I will instill values of student activism is to have a social justice approach when reading specific children&#39;s books. I will ask leading/open ended questions about things that might not have been explicitly discussed in the book to expose my students to deeper meanings that are within children&#39;s books. Overall, this will instill a sense of fairness and justice within the children.</title>

<title>In my classroom I will make children feel confident in who they are as learners as well as encouraging them to self-advocate in and out of the classroom. By reading books to the class such as the ones we have mentioned, children are better able to grasp the concept of advocacy and will be eager to work towards making a change in the world themselves.</title>

<title>making sure I am including the readings and encouraging the kids to feel welcome to have big discussions and talk about subjects that are difficult or not often talked about outside of the classroom. I would want my students to know their opinions matter and that they are important in creating change, so I would try to include current examples of activism in our class.</title>
