We can do this because we live in what Harari calls a ‘dual reality’ which consists of the objective reality (Trees, Rocks, Rivers, Bananas) and our fictitious reality (Legal systems, Governments, Economies).

The very complexities surrounding cognitive abilities as well as being able to experience deep emotional intelligence sets strict barriers with other species. Our neurological pathways, including nervous system functions far surpasses the functions of animals, therefore leading us to be able to build vast communities with continuing advances.
