The Risk when making this project were various, from a simple pricing to a copyright risk. In this table I wrote down the most common risks that might occur to me on the lunch of my Zine in Ebac's self-publish fair. Not only this risk of the table were the only ones, let me give a example: If on top of my stand begging to drip water, I would have to move my Zines quickly so it will not damage my work. Other example is the theft of my works, if I go to the bathroom and when I came back all my products are gone, I need someone to look and take care of my stuff when I'm not there. This are the risks that I would normally encounter in a Self publish fair anywhere.

Main Weakness
- Lack of developing an idea. When a brief for a new project comes I already start thinking what is going to be my final outcome. What I need to realize is that I don't need to worry about the final outcome becouse the idea can change throught the week, meaning that if I’m stuck with only one idea I’ll not have the time to develope new ones.

Main Strenghness
- I experiment a lot when comes to differents techniques, I always look to make the most of outcomes I can do for the final result

Today we had the introduction to Part Two of our Foundation course. We also had the presentation of our research on 3 different ways of visually representing the sound. This part of the lesson helped me to better understand the idea of the project, seeing the presentation of the other m gave as it bases that there are several and diverse ways to repost the sound, both analogically and digitally, maybe with my group we can do something inspired by some video shown.
In the afternoon the room was divided into groups of 4 with two Visual Communication students and two of Moving Image. This choice of having different students from different courses in a group fazz with which we adapt and collaborate to make a project with the different abilities that each one has, at the time of doing the animation the ones of Moving Image can do and at the time of doing the Graphic Score Visual Communication can do, but always remembering that everything needs to be approved by the group and that the specific skills jobs will not be able to divide the group, I think the key word of this project is: group work.

In the morning we focused on creating the instruments for our band. This part was essential because we had to think about the types of instruments that we would create. We take into consideration the following aspects: Melody, Harmony and Percussion. The first instrument was Caxixi an instrument of percussion, the second was a xylophone we made with ice cream sticks and a piece of wood, this was an instrument that would make chords for our music. The third instrument was Kazoo an instrument that had only two types of notes a sharp note and a serious one and the fourth and last instrument was a xylophone also but with glass bottles and full of water, we used a guitar tuner to produce certain notes to hit the melody and give harmony to all the music.
In the afternoon I arrived late from lunch so I could not help my group in choosing music or creating one, but I kept working on my sketchbook, how to create instruments and how the sound can be represented visually.

In the morning was reserved for the rehearsal of the band, our group joined and went to staircase. We decided to go there because it had a very good acoustic and we could hear the notes carefully when it was time to record. We had several attempts to make a song, the first time we tried to copy an existing song but our tutors said that it would be better for us to create a song. The experience of trial and error helped us a lot because we would know exactly what we could play and the arrangements that each instrument should make to make good music. By the end we decided to record the music in two rhythms during it, the music starts with a slow rhythm and in the middle there is a pause and then the rhythm changes to faster. We decided to make this change of rhythms to leave the music with more personality and to create as if it were a narrative told by sounds.
In the afternoon Jaygo Bloom gave us a word about his experiences with image and movement when he worked with the band Franz Ferdinand. He showed us softwares that let us create images from sounds and put effects on video clips with just a DJ touchpad. This lecture was necessary because it showed me how easy and fun it can be to create images to represent the sound.

In the morning the students of visual communication had classes with Daniel and Ana, in this class they showed several examples of Graphic Scores and how they can be created and represented. It was in this class that Leticia and I had the idea of how to make our graphic score. First we thought of the colors we were going to use for each instrument, Laura's instrument would be Green, My instrument would be Blue, Bia's instrument would be White & Black and Leticia's instrument would be represented by the purple color.
In the afternoon half of our group (moving image) was in the class of adobe after effects that Alex Afonso gave. Me and Leticia continued to think about the graphic score and we came to the conclusion that it should be round, and with four guidelines one for each instrument. I decided that each instrument should have a symbol corresponding to the sound that the instrument makes, so we decided that Bia would have a line going up and down, Laura would have thick lines, I would have scribble lines and Leticia would have dots.

During the 14-15 day I and Leticia worked and finished the Graphics Scores. We have 3 types of final versions, the first one is a more graphic representation of sound, the segregation is a simple version of the patterns and symbols that we made in the circle, and the third is a more complex version of the cues in the Bia and Laura used to make a little animation that we got the idea at the time.
We also finished grappling the music clip. The clip we had the idea of recording on the round glass that has in the studio, we decided to use this glass because it is round and matches our circle visual identity. We decided to make four lines to symbolize the lines of a score. Each one would paint their rhythm in the rhythm while the music played, one at a time because at the end when we edit we would all join together in one layer and we would be overlapping each other.

This morning we had the introduction to the project: Create in a maximum of 4 A2 screens a narrative, without any textual element, as would be the "End of the World" for me. To help our teacher gave some tips on composition and elements. We have learned how to use elements to help us tell a story that visually carries a message. We work with the positioning study of the main character, for example, if you had two or more characters like position and compose the screen so that the message is clear and direct. Another feature was the use of colours to convey emotions and dialogue with the illustration.
Next, we learn about point of view and how it can affect a narrative.

In the afternoon our tutor showed references of various artists in works that shattered the "end of the world" and gave us the inspiration to start thinking about narrative ideas.

There we were welcomed by Alexander, a member of Garoa, we sat down for a discussion and presented our briefing to him, Alexandre introduced us to the Pithon language, a programming language, and easy methods to create an interactive game. The talk was very good because it showed us how easy it can be to create a digital game using the Pithon programming, this being our first day of briefing, it guided us to open our minds and think about how a game can be created simply by the computer in a practical way .

In the morning I spent most of my time working and having ideas for my game, I was looking for references on the internet and trying to develop a game in my sketchbook. I decided to make a game of dock, with pieces for the person to fit in and in the end a story is formed, I thought to do in that style because it is simple, I just need pieces a board and a story. The story that I decided to put in my game is the story of the creation of the world according to the religion Cadomblé and Umbanda, the native religion of Africa, the name of History is called Yoruba, I chose this religion because my mother is African, from Nagola, but although she is not a believer of this religion Angola itself is. I spent the whole morning researching this story and its characters.
In the afternoon we had a workshop with Eleanor Greenleaf, she presented us with her work and in the end we had to create a game in groups. Particularly I just liked the lecture she gave about her work, the part of creating a game that worked was very complicated for only 30 minutes, and I thought that this workshop should be optional and not mandatory, as it ends up cutting the pace of development of your game and you lose yourself three and a half hours to create your game.

In the morning I sketched the beer mats, research the artists for basic information (Name, date of birth, year, name of the work I’ll be using and city, country) of my 4 beer mats. This simple task was only to gather information and help me to arrange and compose my Beer Coasters. But I ended up doing all of the 4 final pieces of the Beer Coasters on the morning, I was so ahead my schedule that I made actual mockups to see how they would be when printed.(photo below).
Beeing ahead of schedule made me realize my time manegement for the other days. For example tomorrow I'd supose to had done what I did today, but with this new "free" time I will focus on continuing mine Portfolio, taking pictures, documenting and etc.

Today we had the first drawing class for this project. We had to do the action plan to help each other with the schedule of the days, taking into account that the majority of the days will be self-directed studies.
The initial ideas I had is to do something drawn to graphic design and not illustration so I thought of using blocked and strong colours that would dissipate throughout the narrative.
When it was my turn to talk about the idea to the Tutor, he advised me to get out of my comfort zone and experiment with illustration. I thought, and with that comment in mind I went to the stationery that sold books and bought a book on "Caricature", I read and I was very interested with this style of drawing, so I decided to risk and make caricature illustrations. I realized that I already had a style for my work, but the story was still missing.
I thought about what events today could cause mass destruction, and I realized that nuclear bombs are a big factor that came to light these past few days. The image of Donald Trump and Kin Jong-un came to my head instantly.

Today I started to research more about the style of drawing that is the Caricature. The word Caricature comes from the Italian word for Exaggeration. With that I had to work with my main characters: Trump and Kim Jong-un. I decided to start the final version first without any sketches before, but reading the book I bought, I learned that the illustrators started with a drawing that was the same as the picture, and then they would do more drawings but increase the caricature of the person. Now it was my turn to do it and when I did this exercise I realized that the drawing came out with more foundation. It was an important lesson and I will use it not only for this project, but for all illustrations and do not know how to start.

The first screen will be Trump and Kim sharing a kiss with Trump's hair flying like a wig.
The second screen will be a heart with an arrow, but instead of the arrow it is a missile, representing the love of both. The third screen is Donald Trump and Kim sitting on a pier hugging and watching a nuclear explosion in front of them, as if it were a valentines day gift. The fourth and final screen will be the world with several nuclear explosions, as if it were the nuclear apocalypse, caused by their love.
Here a reference below

I thought about the colors and I came up with a reasonable color palette reminiscent of pop art.
As principal reference Roy Lichtenstein was one of my my inspirations to do this work.

today I started to make the last screens. One thing I noticed in the pop art style that will work well in the illustrations is the polka dot effect as if it were a comic. In relation to the colors I decided to separate two screens with the same palettes, and the other two with different but equal palettes between them. The yellow I chose because it is a vibrant color and does not disturb much the main character and is good to show an example of softness in this context of a nuclear chaos. I chose pink, red and purple to talk about love and destruction as you can see on the screen below.
I finished the screens today and did not expect so I'm far above the time I need, this is a good thing because I can look back and see the errors or things to add to the work, also I have now time to talk with my tutor about new opportunities for the narrative. I hope to have all the screens ready in the final versions Saturday, at most Sunday.

Today was the whole day at Risotropical, a risography space in Sao Paulo. Coming up there we had to present the poster that we had made at home, me and pair. I realized while the process was being made that it's risography is a very good method for a large - scale production. Making an Zine in risography it's very easy and there is no concern with how many colors to use in the project because the color palette is limited, that makes Zine or publication production very simple. Our poster only had two colors: blue and pink, two opposite colors, one light, and another dark, but when together create a harmony and pass a message through the forms. Me and my double decided to make a city with blue lines and blocks shapes of pink to complement the empty spaces, creating a new meaning of city.

Thinking about it and the drawings and experiments I did the first day, there was already an idea formed in the head of what to do my zine. The first idea of zine was to make the building of EBAC separate into four parts these four parts would have their own colors, vivid and intense colors. The abstract narrative began at the college building and then dissipated into large geometric forms. The second idea was to make the negative space of the faculty transforming it into other buildings during the narrative. The third idea, which I liked the most, was to use the red pipes present in all the rooms and create as if it were a map that extends through the whole building and crosses the borders of the paper, all told in a story of five / six pages.

When I was to introduce when all of you were told that everyone was told that they liked the projects and especially that I haven't been standing in an idea and I ve expanded to three different styles, concluding that in this project I explored quite my ability to adapt when necessary.

Always seeking to explore new styles that I am not familiar with and that you can bring me benefits in the future. Risography is a clear example of learning on this project.

The ludic room is the toy room and games and where the fun happens. After the visit we had to take the measures from space walls to know the size of the final art we'd present to the client.

Today on the third day we had the visit of Felipe Grimaldi, a teacher of plates'typography. We had this class to learn and inspire us to do projects related to typography. To understand that as a text written or a phrase, when well worked it takes effect of the person who reads it. Felipe gave us exercise and taught how to make very easy lyrics using only one ruler and a pencil making grids, and in the end putting the last details in the letters.

At the end of the class we took a wall from the school hall and paint the lyrics as you can see in the bottom photo.

Soon after Felipe left, we made another map of words to help us with ideas. We've seen that the word ludical represents prank, learning and more important to the living of a fun place. As you're thinking, we thought of the idea of making a grid with various square, in every square an illustration different so when the child see it he would enter each square illustration like different worlds.

Today in class with Daniel Bueno We had a character creation for our illustration on the wall. We had trouble at first because we didn't know what style we wanted to go to, had to be a more childish style and that resents fun. Me and my pair aren't illustrators and that left us in the discomfort zone. Daniel, when we talked to him, told us to pick up blank paper and start drawing without thinking and then a ideia would come up.

Me and my double had a disagreement, he wanted a mural of illustration and I'm a more graphic mural. We were out of idea. We decided to leave it to the next day and think during the night. Come tomorrow with more ideas and new points of view to try to unite our styles.
reference image:

Today we had a tour of the ISIGN store of digital outcomes. There they produce stickers for big clients, they're also a graphic and they make street plates and bars. We went there to find out and try new materials for our final outcome.

In the afternoon we had time to make to the maquette, that is one of the main outcomes of this project. Since we were late when we get to the college I just noted the bedroom dimensions so the next day we get into the maquette.

Today when I was making the illustrations I had an idea. Me and my pair aren't good illustrators, so since we wanted to do something that caused an impact and it is good, I’ve decided to go to our comfort zone, the digital collage. Yeah, that would change our entire action plan, but it would be a much better outcome than the initial idea.

Immediately I told my team about the ideia and he agreed with me. Soon after we started looking for images references to how make this collage. Since it's Friday we decided to each make a collage on the weekend. And Monday we're going to finish the final version of the collages together.

We were all day trying to get them together on the computer and after several attempts we managed to get to a very good result and that it showed everything we wanted, toys, letters, colors, objects and entertainment.

After we got to the final version we had to print her in size of the model 1/4.

Today Tuesday we had to do the last stage of work, the project: the plates of presentation of the work. On these boards is necessary to contain, art, a picture of the maquette with applied art, the proposal, and why we chose the place: ludic room.

We also sent for a print a real scale of a part of the collage for the client presentation. That's necessary for the client to see and feel, literally, a part of the final art.

Tomorrow we'll take the graphics plates, the real scale art and the art of the size of the maquette, to be applied to it.

Today we finish the entire project and we finalize all the jobs. I learned that working in pair may be a challenge because not always the ideas if they coincide but in the end it must emerge with a creative solution to a problem. My team has helped me a lot in my creative process, learned from him how to draw better, respect each other's ideas and arrive at a conclusion that beneficives us both. Tomorrow will be a presentation for the client, I trust my pair that we're going to do a very good job and that maybe our work is approved. I'm hoping it is approved and we can do this for real.

The fact of having a real client to present your work to is really influenced me on my way of thinking and making the right moves. I needed to be realistic about the prices and the image size that I occupied on the wall.
To give the client a realistic price estimative I and my pair went to a place that sells adhesive vinyl for walls.. We shown them the art and they gave us a budget. R$400 for the art size print. Also working with a client we needed to attend the dead line and not live work incomplete.
Looking now at my work that is finished I believe me and my pair really achieved the main goal of this project, to create a new feeling for the room by only painting the wall. I believe the final art will affect daily the life of the kids that uses the room and make them more creative and inspired to play.
