         <description><![CDATA[<div>Ronald Reagan's domestic policy included a focus on reducing taxes, decreasing government regulation, and increasing military spending. Reagan's foreign policy included a focus on increasing military spending, supporting anti-communist groups and governments, and negotiating arms control agreements with the soviet union.&nbsp;One supreme court case that references President Ronald Reagan is INS v. Chadha. This case dealt with the constitutionality of the legislative veto, which had been used by Congress to overturn executive branch decisions. The case was decided in 1983 during his presidency, the court ultimately ruled that the legislative veto was unconstitutional. During his time in office, the development of the first commercially available cell phones. Even though cell phones had been around for some time, they were pricey and not widely available. This helped pave the way for the widespread use of cell phones that we see today.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>One of President Bush's domestic policy was the ADA, and act that protected those with disabilities from discrimination in the workplace and in public spaces. One of his foreign policies was the Gulf War. In 1991, he led a coalition of countries in a military operation to expel Iraq from Kuwait. This event helped establish the US as a major player in the Middle East. Bush references to the Hamdi v. Rumsfeld court case. This case had dealt with the detention of American citizens who were suspected of being an enemy combat. During Bush's time in office, the World Wide Web was a technological advancement. Despite internet being around for awhile, being created in the early 1900's this made it easier for people to access and share info online.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>President Bill Clinton's domestic policy focused on a number of issues, including healthcare, education, and the economy. His most significant accomplishment was the passage of the Omnibus Budget reconciliation Act of 1993, which included a number of tax increases and spending cuts aimed at reducing the federal budget deficit. He dramatically reshaped welfare programs and helped reduce federal welfare spending. Bill Clinton restored full diplomatic relations with Vietnam. After a 20-year hiatus of severed ties,&nbsp; President Bill Clinton announced the formal normalization of diplomatic relations between the United States of America and the Socialist Republic of Vietnam on July 11, 1995. Clinton v. Jones is the supreme court case that references President Clinton. This case dealt with a sexual harassment lawsuit that was filed against President Clinton by a former Arkansas state employee named Paula Jones. The case was decided in 1997, during Clinton's second term in office, the court ruled that a sitting president could be sues for actions that occurred before taking office. This case is significant because it allowed the lawsuit against Clinton to proceed, and it ultimately led to his impeachment .One technological advancement that occured during President Bill Clinton's time in office was the widespread adoption of the internet and the development of the World wide web. During his presidency, the number of internet users in the US grew from around 16 million to over 100 million. The growth of the internet and World Wide Web had a profound impact on many aspects of society from commerce and education to politics and social interactions. </div><div><br></div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>President George W.  Bush's domestic policy initiatives was the No Child Left Behind Act, which was signed into law in 2001, The law was designed to improve education in the US by setting standards for student achievement and requiring schools to administer standardized tests to measure student progress. The law provided funding for teacher training and support for struggling schools.One of his foreign policies was the War on Terror, which was launched in the aftermath of the September 11. 2001 terrorist attacks. The War on Terror involved  a range of military and diplomatic efforts aimed at combating terrorism and promoting democracy and stability in the Middle East. Bush v. Gore references to President George W. Bush. This case dealt with the disputed 2000 presidential election, in which George W. Bush was declared the winner over Al Gore after a lengthy legal battle. Once the case was decided by the Supreme Court in December 2000, and the court ultimately ruled in favor of Bush, effectively ending the recount efforts in Florida and securing his victory. Within many technological advancements during his time in office, one of the most significant was the technological development in the rise of social media, which began to gain popularity in the mid-2000's and has since become a dominant force in politics and society.</div>]]></description>

         <title>President Barrack Obama- January 20,2009</title>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>His domestic policy the Affordable Care Act (ACA), also was known as the Obamacare. The ACA was a comprehensive healthcare reform law tat aimed to increase access to affordable health insurance for millions of Americans. While the ACA remains a controversial law, it has resulted in a significant reduction in the number of uninsured Americans and has been credited with saving lives and improving health outcomes. One of Obama's foreign policy initiatives was the normalization of relations with Cuba. In 2014, Obama announced that the US would begin the process of normalizing diplomatic relations with Cuba, which had been strained since the Cuban Revolution in 1959. The move was significant because it marked a major shift in the US policy towards Cuba and  represented an effort to move away from the Cold War- era policies that had defined the relationship between he two countries for decades. The supreme court case that helps reference Obama is the National Ferderation of independent business v. Sebelius. This case was a legal challenge to the ACA. The case specifically dealt with the constitutionality of the individual mandate, which required most Americans to have health insurance or pay a penalty. During his time in office there were significant advancements in renewable energy and clean technology.</div>]]></description>
