         <description><![CDATA[<div>- Class divisions<br>Divides between the poor and the rich, due to an economy that lacked industrialisation, regulation of labor conditions, and where power was concentrated in the elite.&nbsp;<br><br><br>-Conservative forces in society<br>&nbsp;conservative forces like the Catholic Church were intertwined with the aristocracy who opposed progressive reforms- deepened the divide between the lower classes who sought reform and the upper classes who wanted to keep their privileges &nbsp;<br><br>-rural, poor people who couldnt make a living on farming came to cities which worsened conditions and led to tensions (they could not immigrate after WW1 despite population growth; war boom of WW1 soon went away)<br><br></div>]]></description>
