Students completed “logic puzzles” that were intentionally challenging in partner groups. This involved math, reading for context clues, and a foundational understanding of social expectations in the classroom. We discussed “GRIT” and perseverance.

Again our students are very involved in extra circulars that support this, but I can’t say what we do in our classrooms as a whole. I know my class we talk about whatever they are interested in such as future careers, politics, and so on

I think we struggle at this. We have such a vast population of students who are behind that while we try to bring those behind upward sometimes we don’t focus on the extensions.
