• I hope I can istiqomah on doing ibadah to Allah S.W.T.

• May Allah ease my friend and I for get 4 FLAT in every semester when we are studies in foundation at IIUM

The "something" is about topic :

1) Adab in seeking knowledge

2) Al-quran as a the book of guidence

From our discussion I get to know more adab in seeking knowledge . Especially about we can't just have a adab with our teachers or lecturers but we also need to have the adab with the knowledge that we have . For example , we can't put our books in a low place such as the floor and we need to take care of them properly . Furthermore , we also need to maintaining our relationships with humans and not just with God . This actually important for everyone to know and do for get a blessings in the pursuit of knowledge .

In the second place , we also discuss about surah Ibrahim verse 1 . The tafsir about this surah is Allah already said that the Quran was revealed for the purpose of lead people out of darkness and into light . Therefore , with this verse we as a muslim need to understand more about Quran to become a better muslim in our future .

Suggestion to improve our usrah :

• Do some activities that can make our usrah members can have a lot of conversation between us .

• Watching a movie together !

• Playing a game so that the usrah will be enjoyable and more interesting

In our short discussion about Jibril's Hadith we have learned that there are four important aspects . First aspect is Islam . For the next aspects is Iman . Then Ihsan and the last aspect is The signs of the Day of Judgement . Now lets move to the next point which is what are the lessons that we have learned from the Hadith are :

1) Strengthening our bond with Allah .

2) Strengthening our relationships with other people .

3) Purifying our souls from major sins .

4) Becoming true servants of Allah .

At the last moment before we and our discussion , my fasilitator Sr Piqah has shared another manners of the adab of seeking knowledge with us which is not being shy to ask questions and avoiding arrogance . Thats the end of our discussion .

Suggestion to improve our usrah :

• We need to have more conversation with each other .

• Do more activity so that we can enjoy it .

So everyone , for the third week of usrah , my dearest facilitator has told to us about The Pillars of Iman and he was played for us a youtube video about Angels to Gain More Knowledge . Now lets move to the next point !

1. Belief in Allah

   • Believe to Allah is one of the important things that as a muslim we need to do because only just Allah can be a God in this world .

   • Rububiyah : Rab or God and He is the one who creates and also the creator og death and so on

   • Uluhiyyah : Workship to Allah as a God and believe Allah the only god .

   
   

2. Belief in The Angels

   • The reasons why allah created Angels because He is Al-Malik (The King)

   • Allah want His abd (عبد) live in systematically and to cooperate

   • Actually there have many Angels that we dont know much about them

   • For example , the Angek Raqib Atid , thats just the name for the task . In the reality , there are many angels assigned under the role .

   • And Angels has a shift to which is at dawn and afternoon prayer .

     
     

3. Belief in The Revealed Scriptures .

   • Allah has revealed four book for His Prophet through the Angel Jibril

   • Kitab Zabur to Prophet Daud A.S.

   • Kitab Taurat to Prophet MusA A.S.

   • Kitab Injil to Prophet Isa A.S.

   • Kitab Al-Quran to Prophet Muhammad S.A.W.

   • In this kitab has their own advantages

   • For example the advantages of the Quran : Greater miracle to Prophet Muhammad S.A.W. , primary guide for Muslims and Holy Quran serves as a remedy .

My Suggestion to Improve our Usrah :

• Just pick random person to story about any Prophet at the beginning of our Usrah

1. Belief in all of Allah's Mesenggers

   • believing that Allah sent prophet to us for have a strong faith

   • trust about Allah sent the prophet and angels also with good possess and true morals

   • all the prophet has been revealed the same message from Allah which is Tawhid' (the oneness of Allah)

   Task of Prophet

   • Bringing all the mankid to the right path and towards paradise

   • Explain that we just only have workship to Allah S.W.T.

   • Tell to mankid that this world is a place of trials before we go to the Jannah .

   • Serving as a evidence in the Hereafter .

   • Inform to us about the unseen like "sam'iyat"

   • Being role modals to all the mankid

   The Special of Prophet Muhammad S.A.W.

   • Greater intercession

   • Allah sent him to guide human and jin too

   • Allah assisted Prophet Muhammad in battles by fear the enemies

2. Belief in The Day of Judgement

   • The world will come to end

   • All the deeds will be record

   • We will be resurrected before Allah

   • If someone not belive in The Day of Judgement the actually act disbelief to allah

   Effects of believing in The Day og Judgement

   • Increase love to Allah

   • Keep us away from commiting sins

     
     

3. Belief in Qada' and Qadar

   • Qada' is destiny

   • Qadar is execution of the decree

   4 Principles of Qada' and Qadar

   • Knowledge : believing that Allah knows everything

   • Written : trust about everything happen already has been written in the Luh Mahfuz

   • Will : everything happen with Will of Allah

   • Creation : believing in Allah as the Creator of everything

   Benefits of believing in Qada' and Qadar

   • It brings peace to our soul

   • Grant us the strength to consistently follow all of Allah's commands

   • Distancing from bad deeds and drawing closer to good deeds

So for this week , we just had a short discussion with our usrah member and the topic is about Ihsan and Eschatology . Now lets we start !

Eschatology means the Day of Judgement and Ihsan is mentioned 211 times in the Quran . To achive Ihsan we need to become Muhsin . The characteristics of Muhsin is doing a good to others , doing all the best good with full of effort and doing it for the sake of Allah . However there are 3 stories from prophet that we can related with this characteristisc of Muhsin . The prophet is Prophet Ibrahim , Prophet Yusuf and Prophet Nuh . In story of Prophet Nuh we can see that Prophet Nuh built a ship for his followers from being affected by a major flood, which is a punishment for those who are kufur . Conclusion , we need do good to seek Allah's pleasure in the afterlife .

Suggestion to improve

Adab with Parents

Parents are individuals we should treat with respect . There are many ways we can show this respect towards them , including :

• Always speak politely and value their opinions

• Give them your full attention when they speak and take their advice seriously

• Always pray for their well-being and happiness

• Always say thank you for everything they do for you

• Show gratitude for all the sacrifices and efforts they have made for you

• Dedicate time to be with them, such as chatting or engaging in activities together

• Honor their choices and decisions, even if you may not agree with them

In the end showing respect to them is very important in attaining Allah's pleasure because Allah's pleasure lies in the pleasure of both our parents and by practicing these forms of respect, we can show our love and appreciation for our parents .

Suggestion to improve

• play a game can make more interesting !

Goodbye everyone , don't forget me , okay !

My first meet with my usrahmate for this sem. Feeling excited for knowing each other but at the same time I feel nervous because I need to meet a new people . Nervous but excited ! First of all my naqibah Sr Alya ask us to do taaruf . After end of taaruf my usrah member and I had a simple discussion about "benefit of wisdom"

Definition:
Hikmah is having profound understanding, good judgment, and the ability to act wisely.

Steps to Develop Hikmah:

• Seek both religious and worldly knowledge

• Practice patience and remain humble

• Apply the knowledge gained

• Reflect, observe, and pray for guidance

  
  

Benefits:

• Helps in making sound decisions

• Strengthens faith and moral character

• Improves relationships and leadership qualities

Conclusion:
This week, I’ve come to understand that hikmah is not just about knowledge but also involves experience, patience, reflection, and action. It requires effort, humility, and prayer. My next step is to consistently apply what I’ve learned in my daily life.

1. Salah (Prayer)

Increases awareness of Allah (taqwa).
Prevents a person from engaging in immoral deeds.

ٱتْلُ مَآ أُوحِىَ إِلَيْكَ مِنَ ٱلْكِتَـٰبِ وَأَقِمِ ٱلصَّلَوٰةَ ۖ إِنَّ ٱلصَّلَوٰةَ تَنْهَىٰ عَنِ ٱلْفَحْشَآءِ وَٱلْمُنكَرِ ۗ وَلَذِكْرُ ٱللَّهِ أَكْبَرُ ۗ وَٱللَّهُ يَعْلَمُ مَا تَصْنَعُونَ (45)

2. Fasting (Sawm)

Fosters compassion for those in need.
Weakens the control of Shaytan over one’s self.
Teaches self-control and discipline.

يَـٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ كُتِبَ عَلَيْكُمُ ٱلصِّيَامُ كَمَا كُتِبَ عَلَى ٱلَّذِينَ مِن قَبْلِكُمْ لَعَلَّكُمْ تَتَّقُونَ (183)

3. Zakat (Charity)

   
   

Provides assistance to the less fortunate.
Cleanses one’s soul and wealth.
Reduces materialistic tendencies.

خُذْ مِنْ أَمْوَٰلِهِمْ صَدَقَةًۭ تُطَهِّرُهُمْ وَتُزَكِّيهِم بِهَا وَصَلِّ عَلَيْهِمْ ۖ إِنَّ صَلَوٰتَكَ سَكَنٌۭ لَّهُمْ ۗ وَٱللَّهُ سَمِيعٌ عَلِيمٌ (103)

4. Hajj (Pilgrimage)

Enhances obedience to Allah.
Develops self-discipline and restraint.
Refines focus on worship and spiritual advancement.

ٱلْحَجُّ أَشْهُرٌۭ مَّعْلُومَـٰتٌۭ ۚ فَمَن فَرَضَ فِيهِنَّ ٱلْحَجَّ فَلَا رَفَثَ وَلَا فُسُوقَ وَلَا جِدَالَ فِى ٱلْحَجِّ ۗ وَمَا تَفْعَلُوا۟ مِنْ خَيْرٍۢ يَعْلَمْهُ ٱللَّهُ ۗ وَتَزَوَّدُوا۟ فَإِنَّ خَيْرَ ٱلزَّادِ ٱلتَّقْوَىٰ ۚ وَٱتَّقُونِ يَـٰٓأُو۟لِى ٱلْأَلْبَـٰبِ (197)

Conclusion:

This week, I learned that worship purifies the soul, strengthens one’s faith, and builds important traits such as patience, humility, and discipline. Each act of worship plays a role in shaping an individual’s character and deepening their connection with Allah.

Definition of Khusyu' in Solah:
Khusyu' refers to a state of focus, humility, and full presence of the heart while performing solah.
It represents the essence of prayer, giving it depth and purpose.

Significance of Khusyu':

• Deepens the relationship with Allah.

• Multiplies the rewards and benefits gained from solah.

• Protects against immoral and sinful behavior (Surah Al-Ankabut 29:45).

• Provides inner tranquility and spiritual contentment.

  
  

Ways to Develop Khusyu' in Solah:

• Learn and reflect on the meanings of the verses and supplications recited.

• Perform solah with sincerity and an awareness of standing before Allah.

• Minimize distractions and maintain full attention during prayer.

• Ensure proper wudu and choose a clean, peaceful environment for prayer.

  
  

Advantages of Praying with Khusyu':

• Strengthens one’s faith and God-consciousness (taqwa).

• Promotes inner calmness and reduces anxiety.

• Enhances self-discipline and builds patience.

  
  

Conclusion:
Praying with khusyu' transforms solah into a powerful source of peace, guidance, and strength in daily life.

Strengthens the Bond with Allah

• Increases faith and brings the soul closer to the Creator.

Cleanses the Soul

• Wipes away sins and nurtures the heart towards goodness.

Provides Inner Calmness

• Fills the heart with serenity, relieving stress and worries.

Protects from Sinful Acts

• Serves as a barrier against immoral behavior (Surah Al-Ankabut 29:45).

Enhances Concentration and Discipline

• Trains the mind to focus and fosters patience.

Multiplies Blessings

• Prayers with khusyu' carry greater value and are more likely to be accepted.

Conclusion:

Praying with khusyu' strengthens the connection with Allah, purifies the heart from sins, and brings inner peace. It also prevents sinful actions, enhances focus and patience, and increases rewards.

Fasting is an important act of worship that brings many blessings and benefits. One of its main purposes is to help us develop taqwa (awareness of Allah), as mentioned in the Quran:

"O you who believe! Fasting is made obligatory for you, as it was for those before you, so that you may become mindful of Allah." (Surah Al-Baqarah 2:183)

This means fasting teaches us to stay away from bad actions and be closer to Allah.

Fasting also cleanses the soul and builds self-control. By staying away from food and drink, we learn to control our desires and become stronger in following Allah’s commands. It also helps us feel the struggles of the poor, making us more caring and generous to those in need.

Fasting weakens the control of Shaytan by reducing distractions and keeps us focused on good deeds. It not only helps spiritually but also gives physical benefits, like improving health and cleaning the body.

Fasting is highly rewarded by Allah. The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said that fasting opens the gates of Paradise, and those who fast sincerely will have their past sins forgiven.

Conclusion:

Fasting is not just about avoiding food and drink. It is a way to become closer to Allah, improve our character, and gain peace in our hearts. It helps us grow spiritually while teaching discipline and gratitude for the blessings in life.

Zakah (Compulsory Charity):
Zakah is a key pillar of Islam, requiring Muslims to give 2.5% of their wealth to eligible individuals, such as the poor, those in debt, and others in need. It ensures wealth is shared fairly and purifies the giver’s earnings. Zakah is obligatory for those whose wealth reaches the nisab (minimum threshold).

"Take from their wealth a charity by which you purify them and cause them to grow, and pray for them. Indeed, your prayer is reassurance for them. And Allah is Hearing and Knowing." (Surah At-Tawbah 9:103)

Sadaqah (Voluntary Charity):
Unlike zakah, sadaqah is optional but highly valued in Islam. It can include money, food, helpful actions, or even small acts of kindness. Sadaqah brings blessings, removes difficulties, and strengthens the bond between people. The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said: “Charity extinguishes sins just as water extinguishes fire.” (Tirmidhi)

Conclusion:
Both zakah and sadaqah play a vital role in supporting the community, purifying the soul, and earning rewards in the Hereafter. While zakah is a duty for those who meet the criteria, sadaqah is a voluntary act of generosity that benefits everyone involved.

May Allah ease all my affairs in this world and the Hereafter, and may I remain strong in facing the days to come with steadfast faith.
