1.0  introduction:

a)    Malaysia have been labelled as one of Asia’s fattest countries in the world that include adult and young children as an obese patients (Star2.com,2015)

B  )  1/3 children go to school skip the breakfast are more obese and less active than those who take the breakfast ( The Guardian,2010)

c)       During the past two decades, the prevalence of obesity in children has risen greatly worldwide. Obesity in childhood causes a wide range of serious complications, and increase the risk of premature illness and death.

)       The nutrition society had conducted a study which revealed that almost 30 percent of children between 6 to 17 are either overweight or obese ( New Straits Times,2016)

 

The following proposal outlines…

 

2.0  statement of need:

1)      Obesity among kids in Malaysia is a serious problems that needs a solution as around 30% of young population over the ideal weight range (Star2.com, 2015).

2)      Children who skipped breakfast have highest percentage of overweight and obesity (44.0%)

than those were taking breakfast every day (28.2%) (Sumaya at el.,2015)

3)      The childhood obesity epidemic can be primarily attributed to adverse environmental factors for which straightforward , if politically difficult, solution exist. 

4)      Some factors that contribute to this is includes lack of physical activities , it is worrying because not only in the urban area but in rural areas too.

2.       We, as parent, teacher, let them do just that to enhance their imagination and skills. But are their safety is guaranteed?  

3.       Children sometimes wandered into danger without they realize about it, and are they will safe when we weren’t looking?

STATEMENT NEED

1.       There have been many accidents involving school children in recent months (New Straits Times, 2017)

2.       These include accidents on school premises or students crossing the road to enter the schools and while travelling to and from schools.

3.       Road safety education is considered essential to teach children to interact with traffic  safely ( Oxley. J et al., 2010)

Ø  Definition- using things that have already been used to make new things

Ø  It can teach children to be recyclers by encouraging them to practice reducing, reusing and recycling everyday according to wee recyclers (2011).

Ø  Can be reused for crafts and dramatic play stated by wee recyclers (2011).

 

2.0   Statement of need 

Ø  Reduce pollution of air, land and water.

Ø  Reduce environmental impact of landfill in terms of atmospheric effect and hydrological effects (Skye, 2015)

Ø  Reduce the need for mining new raw materials may contribute to the decline of wildlife and plant species in an area (McKinley, 2008)

a) Kids nowadays have lack of interest in studies and reading. Some reasons are because students do not perceive the classroom as supportive and do not understand what they are learning for. 

b)  Electronic gadgets are taking away the habit of reading. Student preferred to watch than read.

c) They are frightened and feel fear to the teacher because sometimes    teacher become too strict.

Statement of need:

1) Classroom being such an important place in the growth of a child to receive maximum effectiveness in instruction (Hannah, 2013). 75 percent of the student reported that material being taught is not interesting (Bryner, 2007)

2) Students are influenced by their classmates to play computer games and gadgets. Watching youtube are more attractive than reading book (Spielgaben, 2017)
3) About 30 percent of the students indicate they are bored due to the lack of interaction with teachers (Bryner, 2007)

a.       English as second language in school.

b.      Opportunity to use English was limited to the classroom (only during the English language lessons).

c.       English not widely used outside the school and also at home.

Statement of need:

1.       Language performance among students in primary school, not improvise tremendously even after the English language panels have been in the primary school for almost 18 years. (Ali,2003)

2.       Student’s difficulties to communicate in English must be solved as soon as possible considering their needs in facing the working world. (Kavin,2005)

3.       There are signs that if we do not take this bold step now we may be lagging behind countries that did not show much interest in learning the language up to a few years ago. (Malaysia kini,2015)

My part time job as  a  teacher at SERI At-Ta’alim, as a labor at canopy company and Siakap Manjung SDN. Bhd, as a server at Gen Y Chef restaurant during semester breaks provided me with valuable communication, marketing and multi-tasking skills. I also underwent industrial training at Persatuan Nelayan Kawasan Manjung., an established government sector which has provided me with valuable practical experience.

My involvement in extra-curricular activities at the university has strengthened my interpersonal skills, which gave me insight into how I can work with all kinds of people. I have developed confidence and leadership qualities through my participation in the Taekwondo Club and other activities at university. In addition, I possess excellent written and verbal communication skills in Malay and English. I am certain that my work experience and involvement in extra-curricular activities will be extremely relevant to the position of Customer Service Executive at your company.
