Tricuspid (R): Lies between the right atrium and the right ventricle. It's function is to flow blood from the top chamber of the heart to the bottom.

Pulmonary(R): Lies between the right ventricle and the pulmonary artery. It's purpose is to stop the blood from flowing back into the right ventricle after release

Mitral (L): Lies between the left atrium and left ventricle. It's function is to regulate the blood flow between the left atrium and ventricle

Aortic(L): Lies between the left ventricle and left aorta. It's function is to flow the blood correctly from the left ventricle and left aorta

Septums: There are two walls creating the division of 4 chambers. The Interatrial septum covers the atria which are the two upper chambers and the Interventricular septum covers the two lower chambers which are the ventricles.

Heart wall: The innermost lining = Endocardium

Middle lining and muscular layer= Myocardium

Outer layer and fibrous membranous sac= Pericardium
