    my interpretation of this is that this is a memory that is so precious that is kept safely in a box. when we open this box, we are telling the story of this memory. for my mother, the memories of teaching her students from nursery til kindergarten and graduate is something precious as she has been with them for a long time teaching and learning along with them.

    as this is the first time i am creating a stop motion video, this was definitely challenging for me. in my video i made, 1 second has about 2-3 frames of 0.4 seconds each. as my video is about 1min 46seconds, it has about 230+ frames. i had to retake some frames over and over again as sometimes the props/ images in the box were falling or not positioned properly. the props/images in the video are hand drawn and cut out so they are pretty small to fit in the box and in the model's hands. sometimes these images would get lost or get blown away from the fan and i had to redraw instead of finding it so that i can save time.

    aside that, i did not have a proper phone stand to take a nice shot of each frame, so i had to position it in an awkward position but as long as the whole box can be seen, i took pictures of it. then, i had to edit and readjust the angles of the frames one by one (picture below). it was tedious for me as i had to edit so many frames but i had no other choice.

    aside all those, i think that this project is really really interesting and fun to make. experimenting with materials, ideas and drafts and eventually coming up with a video is an achievement for me as i have never done something like this before. not only this video can be used for my project, but i can show this to others to show that this is my mother and how she juggles her time as a teacher and a mother. when i showed my mother this video, she was very happy and she likes the model i made of her. she said that she would show this to her students and other teachers in her school haha.
