Early Childhood

In this stage I began to became more physical in the sense that I learned how to walk and talk. At the age of 2 years old I was able to walk efficiently with balance like how any other person would and also soon learn how to run. With this ability I caused quite a ruckus with my caregivers because I would keep on running around the house risking injuries to myself. Along with that, I developed the ability to communicate not much after, from this I would learn words from my caregivers and sometimes misinterpret their meaning. One instance was when my mom was stunned when I suddenly learned a vulgar word when I spoke to her about it. Gradually, I was heading my way to becoming in tune with the world, as I start to input and process all the information I experienced.

Infancy

My early memory at this stage was in our old house where I was being carried by sister to pose for a picture. I also remember my sister being the one who took care of me, even reluctantly changing my diapers when my mother was busy. Due to my mother being busy with her work as a nurse and my disposition at the time as a child, we hired caregivers to look out for me in my infancy stage. They helped me in my daily life, helping me how to eat and drink, how to bathe, and most importantly teaching foundations for me how things work in the world.

Preschool Years

At the age of 4 years old is where I started to have interest for science and electronic gadgets. To the curious young me, science was a subject for me to further understand the what, how, and why in phenomena. Besides that, I grew fascinated with electronic gadgets because of one experience recently in this stage where I found myself playing with a phone from a friend.

Elementary Years

When I reached my elementary years is where I personally thought my development spiked. I attended a school where I met diverse people with unique perspectives from my class, I met inspiring teachers with valuable lessons, and gained meaningful experiences to reflect on. In addition, I garnered multiple achievements as well in this stage. Academically, I won 1st place in a quiz bee hosted by my school and also achieving a consistent honor track. In the context of sports, I won a badminton tournament also hosted by my school.

Adolescence

I find the adolescence stage of me the most social out of all my previous stages. I graduated from elementary and grew fear of stepping into the unknown in Highschool. Despite that, I took hold of all my learnings and experiences from my elementary years and leapt. In contrast to what I thought, all the people in Highschool were kind and heartwarming. As a result, I formed numerous bonds with people there and made memorable moments. Upon reflecting back on this time, I became reminded that my time there will always hold a special place in my heart and mind as the experiences there with my peers were priceless.

Personal Development was incredibly helpful because it gave me time to think about myself and understand my strengths, weaknesses, and feelings better, while also teaching me to be more understanding and patient with other people since everyone has their own problems and experiences. My main lessons from this subject are that knowing yourself is important for personal growth, that mental health is just as important as physical health, and that improving yourself is something that never stops throughout your life. My two favorite topics were Mental Health and We Are Family because the Mental Health lessons helped me understand how to deal with stress and anxiety in healthy ways, and the We Are Family topic made me appreciate my own family more and see how families shape who we become as people. This subject changed the way I see myself and others, helping me realize that growing as a person means both becoming better myself and building good relationships with the people in my life.
