I grew up singing in the choir, acting in the plays, and attending Wednesday night dinners with fellow members of the church.
Learning about friends and classmates beliefs on religion has allowed me to have a better understanding of what makes them who they are. My town lacks diversity. A racial slur allegation woke the town to a problem that was often overlooked. Our high school offered a series of diversity training sessions that were very informative and necessary.
