They looked into many different parts of Japanese Culture and subculture to draw inspiration for each one of their pieces. While the selected works are stylized the artist is still clearly showcasing that they possess technical skill. The fact that the works are mixed media shows that this person can use different mediums effectively. For example the changes in colors amongst pieces while still keeping the strong element of value across the whole portfolio. The artist used watercolor, gouache, pencils, and pen which is evident in the pisces and does a wonderful job of communicating the fantasy the artist was trying to convey. There is evidence of different techniques being used with the same materials throughout the piece which could be an example of revision and improvement. Among what was already listed I see evidence of the elements of line and shape that really draw the viewer's attention.
