Ruth " stares at Walter with murder eyes " pg 31 this shows that Ruth is very stubborn because she told Travis no and Walter did not let what Ruth was trying to teach Travis work . I have alot of respect for Ruth , she loves and protects her kids but also shows them tuff love . Her and her husband go throug many things too , but i think they both know deep down they love each other . This photo represents independence , because this women in the art for example is showing everything she does on her own . She has four arms and she doesn' t need people to help her get through things , she depends on herself . The colors used in this photo is orange , and red . I feel like red represents , being strong , love and family . You have to be strong to be independent . This describes Ruth because she is very , Independent women and stands for herself . 
 I enjoy reading this poem because it shows me , how independent you need to be and only depend on yourself . This poem states " we are in league of our own , The take no mess charge kind of women" . This states That Strong women stand for themselves and whats right  and whats wrong .Stands for herself , Ruth is such a strong person .

The lyric says I worked hard and sacrificed to get what i want , Ruth works hard and trys to make others happy and be grateful for what they have and get . Ruth is also subborn but i could not find a song for that . The other lyric says Depend on no one else to give you what you want .Ruth isnt able to depend on her husband or anyone to help her does not  mean she does not  love her husband or her family just does not depend on them . This supports the love them because love and the true gift in life is your family .Your family is a gift to you just like your a gift to them your here to support them and they support you .Ruth is a true gift to her family by helping them and Walter is a gift to her for helping with money issues . They help each other all the way around .The whole family helps out each other by going to court and fighting for the rights .
