Standing in front of the class and lecturing the entire hour can be exhausting for both teachers and students. Create fun and engaging lessons so students are excited to be in class! Allow students to be part the discussion by having them participate in "think, pair, and share's" or let them reenact parts of the lesson.

Everyone is a learner regardless of if they are a student or teacher! Co-teachers should learn from one another to help improve their A-game. Discovering each other's strengths and areas of need will help promote opportunities for growth while perfecting or finetuning mastered techniques. Appreciate one another when they provide feedback for growth or compliment your strategy.

Paraprofessionals can be big contributors in the classroom, so it is imperative to respect them and take care of them. Don't take them for granted and appreciate what they can and are willing to do to help your classroom out. They can help with small group discussions, gather materials, help organize the classroom, supervise students, and way more. Include your para's in your lesson planning and seek their input- their gratitude will lead to their willingness to help you in the classroom.

Co-teaching is a difficult concept to master, but it's worth the effort to make things work in the classroom. There are many ways to make co-teaching successful and our textbook did a great job in explaining how to do so. In return, this chapter encourages us to share the wealth. Strategies that work for us as a co-teacher can work for others; therefore, we should in return teach our successful ways to inspire others. Who knows, we could receive help in return!

Working in Co-taught classroom can be very demanding and can lead teams off track and into a funk. It's good to re kindle the magic by changing up the routine or incorporating new themes. Also, wearing costumes that fit the lesson can help liven up class time. Most importantly, it's important for both teachers to establish a work/ life balance, and also its important for each teacher to help the other one out when they hit a personal rut.
