PREPARATION: 

for the lesson you need a lot of images of landascapes around the world , and the use of the webtool pinterest, a prism.

PROCEDURE: 

warm up 

The students have to colour a personal rainbow creatively.

Each student has to describe at each others’ pictures. 

EXTENSION

I have not experience in Extensive Reading, but I decided to  improve it with my students of the third class of Ptimary school.

I have decided to  read the story of " THE TOWN MOUSE AND THE COUNTRY MOUSE" from Oxford University Press.

Before reading, I'll propose some flashcards that I've just prepared with a tool such as Edmondo o Prezi, so The students can repeat kwon words.

Then I can ask questions suah as:what can you see in the pictures?, what's this?, and who is this? How many mice can you see? where do they live?etc...

After I read slowly for the first time the story. Even if the students don't understand all the words it is not important because they understand all the   story  and not all the words.

Afterwards I read for the second time and I propose to the students to repeat some expression. The repetition is more importantto memorize new words and phrases.

I read again the story but now I stop some phrases  so the students can finish them.

When I think that students know new words and expression I can propose some exercise of filling.

Then the students can watch a cartoon about the story on youtube.

Finally the students can enjoy themselves to act the story.

With this story the students can learn lexis about: buildings, clothes, food, etc...
