This shows me by what he said to May belle I can infer that Jess is demanding. I know this because he demanded may belle to get him a shirt and didn't even ask nicely. But it's not just that I can infer. I can also infer that Jess is lazy because he has to order someone else to get him a shirt even though his mom told him to go get a shirt and put it on. I can infer that Jess is a bit mischievous because he was not supposed to be drawing in the middle of class. But it's not just that I can infer. This shows me that Jess likes to run and it also shows that hat he is working hard. That quote from the book lets me visualize how Jess looks. When I read that quote I picture water running down his forehead but really it's sweat. I also can picture heavily breathing with his mouth open and his body going up and down every second as he was breathing. Lastly, I can visualize his hair wet and all greasy looking. From the little quote I can tell what this shows me about the character. It shows me from all of those things that the character looks like I can infer Jess is a person who has grit and will not quit. Also, I can infer he does not want to lose and that he absolutely loves running. Last, is that jess is working hard in this scene. That shows that she's selfish because she was so proud. Which that explains to me she didn't say thank you she took off and was proud of her twinkie which is pretty selfish. I can infer that Leslie and Jess are both giving. They put other people's life a lot before themselves. "Jess wanted to find something he would be proud of." that shows he is not just getting it because he should he's getting it because he wants and chooses to. I know that he is fear full because he can't fall asleep for two reasons and one reason is because he is worried. He's worried of hurting himself when he crosses the creek and he knows if he doesn't then Leslie won't be proud of him so he is going to do it but he is worried but brave because I can infer that he is going to cross the creek even though he is worried.

Another way I think that he showed that he was creative is that he even gave it a strong name called the great bridge to Terabithia. Jess made this bridge all by himself and came up with the idea by himself too.
