She told them they are learning about verbs vs nouns. She explained what explanation texts are with an example.
Star: She scaffolded well with learning and showing nouns vs verbs. She encouraged student participation.
Wish: suggestion: maybe use Pear Deck for the toilet example so all students can work together and participate in breakout rooms.

* He started off the class asking students to recap what they remember from last lesson. Students were enthusiastic and recalled the difference between biography and autobiography very well. Then, a clear visual presentation of the two difference was presented on screen. This helped students to progress through the lesson with confidence.

* He made sure that everyone understood what information they needed to find before reading the text, using what they have learnt in G1 to help them with their reading comprehension.

Wish: During guided reading, could use the laser tool in presentation for the kids to follow whilst reading instead of the mouse cursor?

It was a great class to observe and he was very patient with the kids. Thanks for having us!

Star: Good use of Pear Deck to allow students to work at their own pace. He was able to see what students can do in real time. He also showed the students their own answers. Good use of the annotation tool to model an example.
Star: Learner outcome was visible at the beginning and always visible on each slide afterwards.
Wish: To enhance student understanding, he can use the breakout room function with the AT to consolidate/reinforce with one-on-one teaching (as some students expressed they didn't understand)

⭐️ I love the use of open-ended questions to encourage number sense
⭐️ I like how you connected Math skills with animals, something that kids love. I can tell it helped with engagement and learning!
🧚 I thought the use of Pear Deck was great. I'd recommend simplifying the tasks so they don't get bogged down by the tech skills :)
