         <description><![CDATA[<div>I hope to take a few minutes of your time to ask you to read below, I saw the passage and found it to be thought provoking and congruent with something I was already wanting to encourage you to do as a faculty and staff today.  </div><div>I know I myself need endless sticky notes and reminders to keep on task and get things done, this includes remembering to pause and be grateful or thankful for the people and experiences in my life.  So, I am hoping this email can serve as my sticky note to you and will encourage you to take a few moments out of your day today to recognize a fellow faculty/staff member.  Please take a moment after you read this message to call someone, perhaps walk across the hall, or take a stroll up/down stairs to reach out to a colleague or friend and let them know you are grateful for the impact they have on your life.</div><div><strong>You are holding a cup of coffee when someone comes along and bumps into you or shakes your arm, making you spill your coffee everywhere.</strong></div><div><strong>Why did you spill the coffee?</strong></div><div><strong>"Because someone bumped into me!!!"<br>Wrong answer.<br>You spilled the coffee because there was coffee in your cup.<br>Had there been tea in the cup, you would have spilled tea.<br>*Whatever is inside the cup is what will spill out.*<br>Therefore, when life comes along and shakes you (which WILL happen), whatever is inside you will come out.  It's easy to fake it, until you get rattled.<br>*So we have to ask ourselves... “what's in my cup?"*<br><br>When life gets tough, what spills over?<br>Joy, gratefulness, peace and humility?<br>Anger, bitterness, harsh words and reactions?<br>Life provides the cup, YOU choose how to fill it.<br><br>Today let's work towards filling our cups with gratitude, forgiveness, joy, words of affirmation; and kindness, gentleness and love for others.<br>(Shared from a friend whose cup is full of goodness and inspiration.)</strong></div><div><br></div><div><strong>Thank you for filling my cup with joy - some days it gets low and all I need to do is walk out to the hall - it is immediately filled back up watching you teach, supporting your colleagues and students or lending a helping hand to others in the building.</strong></div>]]></description>
