Audience: the rest of the dude perfect crew

“Boys, we should start editing our trick shots for TikTok. Trick shots are inherently suited for the shorter TikTok format. TikTok’s appeal with younger audiences stems from its unprofessionalism and creator/viewer connection. Top influencers on TikTok do not give off hyper-curated vibes, instead opting for an amateur one. This is exactly what created our niche on Youtube, which is relatively less friendly towards amateur-feeling content than TikTok. Therefore we should see even more success on TikTok as our content and atmosphere are naturally ideal for TikTok. TikTok would not only amplify our strengths, but give us ways of extending our brand. We would easily incorporate music and dance into the trick shots. While there are sports TikTokers, few have the appeal of what we would. Sports in TikTok, specifically trick shotting, is a relatively untapped niche. Youtube has been serviceable for years but it is no longer the ideal platform for our content. The suggestions for young audiences these days are saturated with reaction channels, story time videos, and untalented influencers beefing. Our content is packed with brief moments of excitement and personality and should be promoted on a platform that rewards these qualities. Music and dance would only enhance our shots. Imagine a shot from a bridge sinking as soon as the bass drops to a song. Imagine three of us dancing in unison and simultaneously nailing a no-look, over-the-head  trick shot. One idea I have is to host weekly trick shot competitions, where we review fans’ shots on TikTok and shoutout the winner. This is just one example of how we can foster a more personal creator/viewer connection. Another perk of the TikTok platform is that it allows each shot to be individually introduced and reacted to. This heightens the stakes around the shot, as opposed to a standard montage on Youtube. Our brand is built on amateur fun, personality, skill, and creativity.
