My wish ❤️

I hope this Usrah session becomes a source of enlightenment for all of us, where every discussion plants seeds of wisdom in our hearts. May we be blessed with sincerity in seeking knowledge, patience in understanding, and the courage to implement what we learn. I hope that this gathering strengthens our bond as a community, making us more compassionate, understanding, and supportive of one another. May it be a stepping stone to deeper faith, clearer purpose, and a life lived in service to Allah. I also hope that the insights we gain here will guide us through the challenges of life, bringing us closer to Jannah, inshaAllah.

These are some suggestions for usrah session :

1. Encourage More Participation

Open the Floor to Everyone: Ensure that all members feel comfortable contributing by creating a welcoming, non-judgmental atmosphere. You could introduce icebreakers or group discussions to involve quieter members.

Rotating Facilitators: Rotate facilitators for each session to allow different perspectives and leadership styles, encouraging a sense of shared responsibility.

2. More Interactive and Engaging

Incorporate Visuals or Multimedia: Use videos, presentations, or infographics to make the sessions more engaging and easier to understand. Visuals can help clarify complex concepts and retain interest.

3. Enhance Spiritual Connection

Start with Group Dhikr: Include a brief moment of remembrance of Allah (dhikr) or Qur'an recitation before diving into discussions to spiritually center the session.

Personalized Dua: Let each participant share a dua (prayer) request at the end of the session. This fosters connection and support within the group.

ROLEPLAY (BENEFITS OF PRACTICING CORRECT AMAL)

Here are some explanation about the poster

1. Inner Peace and Contentment

When we align our actions with the purpose of pleasing Allah, we experience peace in our hearts. Sincere amal help us to stay calm, clean, and full of clarity.

2. Leads to Personal Discipline and Growth

Practicing correct amal helps us develop good habits, like saying Alhamdulillah whenever something good happens. These positive actions remind us of Allah and bring us closer to Him.

Knowing that Allah is always watching us gives us the strength to avoid bad behavior and control our desires. Over time, this builds our character and helps us grow spiritually.

3. Strengthens Iman

Doing correct amal regularly, like praying, giving charity, or being honest, strengthens our faith. These actions help us stay connected to Allah and become part of who we are. The more we do good, the more our faith grows and our hearts remain guided and firm in Islam.

4. Sharing Sincerity to Allah SWT

Correct amal must be done with the right intention, not for attention, praise, or rewards from others. It should be done only to seek Allah’s pleasure. Worshiping as if Allah is watching us helps us stay focused and sincere in everything we do.

5. Represent the Real Image of Islam

By doing good deeds like helping others, especially those in need regardless of race or religion, we show the true values of Islam which is compassion, mercy, and kindness. For example, feeding a hungry non-Muslim neighbor is a way of showing Islam’s concern for all of humanity.

6. Pleasing Allah

Ultimately, the goal of every good amal is to earn Allah’s pleasure. As mentioned in Surah al-Baqarah (2:207), Allah praises those who dedicate their lives to Him. These people choose to live for Allah’s sake, and in return, Allah is ever kind and gracious to them.

WEEK 1 (ACQUISITION OF HIKMAH FROM IBADAH)

On this week , we have introduction session with all usrah members. After the introduction session , we continue to discuss about Acquisition of Hikmah from Ibadah .

There are three main component in order to ensure that our Ibadah brings true benefits.

The three main components are :

Setting the Right Niyyah :

Every act o worship must begin with the right niyyah as Prophet Muhammad PBUH said that actions are judged by its intention. By keeping a sincere niyyah, Muslim can stay focus in performing Ibadah and the goal can be achieved easily.

Applying Right Amal :

Right ʿamal means practicing worship as taught by the Qur’an and Sunnah. Worship must follow the correct method like praying with the correct actions and recitations, fasting properly, or giving zakat with the right conditions. Practicing the right ʿamal also includes doing it with excellence and care, not rushing or doing it lazily.

Internalising the Iḥsān (Positive Virtues) :

Iḥsān means doing something as if Allah is watching you with full sincerity and quality. True Ibadah can brings out good character traits. A person who truly benefits from Ibadah will be kind, honest, and responsible because their worship shapes their soul.

The Purpose of Ibadah (Surah al-Dhāriyāt 51:56-57)

Allah says:

“And I did not create jinn and mankind except to worship Me. I do not want from them any provision, nor do I want them to feed Me.” (51:56-57)

This verse makes it clear that the main purpose of life is to worship Allah. Worship is not only about rituals, but includes all actions done to please Him. It reminds us that success lies in fulfilling this purpose and not just chasing worldly gain.

The Importance of Niyyah

Without proper niyyah, Ibadah loses its meaning. Even simple acts like studying, helping parents, or working can become worship if done with the intention to please Allah.
WEEK 4 (THE VIRTUES FOUND IN SALAH WITH KHUSYU')

In this week, we discuss about the virtues that can be found when performing salah with khusyu'.

1. Al-Taʿah (Loyalty)

Prayer teaches the value of absolute submission to Allah. Standing, bowing, and prostrating before Him in salah reflects total loyalty and obedience. A person who performs salah regularly with sincerity becomes more committed to obeying Allah’s commands in everyday life.

2. Al-Jihad (Struggle in the Path of Allah)

Khushuʿ in prayer reflects an internal struggle (jihad al-nafs) against laziness, distraction, and worldly desires. Maintaining focus and consistency in prayer requires discipline and effort, which mirrors the larger struggle of staying on the path of righteousness.

3. Muhasabah (Self-Reflection)

Prayer is a time to reflect on one’s actions, sins, and intentions. When performed with khushuʿ, it serves as a moment of muḥasabah, encouraging the believer to evaluate their relationship with Allah and to seek self-improvement and forgiveness.

4. ʿIffah (Modesty)

A person who prays with khushuʿ will naturally develop modesty and self-control. Regular prayer reminds the believer to avoid sinful behavior, guard their speech and actions, and live with dignity and moral boundaries.

5. Tawadduʿ (Humbleness)

Khushuʿ instills deep humility. The act of bowing and placing the forehead on the ground is the ultimate sign of humbleness before Allah. This attitude of tawadduʿ extends beyond the prayer, shaping a Muslim to be kind, respectful, and never arrogant in their dealings with others.

In this week, we have to do task in group about one o the virtues of sawm. My group have to make a poster and discuss about Takrim which is respect and deference.

For this task, we choose the story of Abu Talhah and the guest of Rasulullah SAW.

Narrated by Abu Hurairah RA, found in Sahih Bukhari and Sahih Muslim:

A man came to the Prophet Muhammad SAW and said, “I am hungry.” The Prophet asked his wives, but none of them had any food. So the Prophet said, “Who will entertain this guest?”

Abu Talhah (RA) took the man home. He and his wife only had enough food for their children. They decided to give all the food to the guest, turned off the lamp to pretend they were eating, and went to bed hungrily.

The next day, the Prophet Muhammad SAW told them:

“Allah laughed (was pleased) at what you both did”

Takrim values demonstrated in this story are:

Prioritizing the guest over personal needs.

Unity of husband and wife in upholding noble character

Sincerity without seeking attention

Surah At-Tawbah (9:103):
"Take alms from their wealth in order to purify them and sanctify them with it, and pray for them. Verily, your prayer is a source of comfort for them. And Allah is All-Hearing, All-Knowing."

This verse shows that giving Zakah or Sadaqah (charity) is not just about helping others—it brings personal and spiritual benefits. Let's look at 3 important virtues:

1. Tawakkul (Trust in Allah)

When a person gives part of their wealth in charity, they are trusting that Allah will provide for them.

It teaches us to rely on Allah, not just on money or material things.

Giving Zakah shows that we believe Allah will bless us more in return.

Example: A person gives Sadaqah even when they don’t have much, trusting that Allah will take care of their needs.

2. Ukhuwah (Brotherhood)

Zakah and Sadaqah strengthen the bond between the rich and the poor.

It creates love, unity, and care in the community.

The giver helps their Muslim brothers and sisters, and the receiver feels cared for.

Example: A rich person gives to someone struggling in the community—this creates mutual respect and kindness.

3. Tazkiyyah (Purification)

Giving Zakah purifies our wealth and our hearts.

It removes greed, selfishness, and love for worldly things.

It helps the giver become more sincere and humble.

Example: By giving Sadaqah, a person becomes more generous and closer to Allah.

Before he could carry it out, Allah replaced Ismail with a ram. This story took place during the zulhijjah month, which month when muslims perform hajj. Plus, during performing hajj, pilgrims are obligated to sacrifice by Stoning the Jamrah, spending the night in Mina, and increasing acts of worship. These sacrifices are part of the obligatory rituals of Hajj.

2. TAQWA

˹Commitment to˺ pilgrimage is made in appointed months.1 Whoever commits to ˹performing˺ pilgrimage, let them stay away from intimate relations, foul language, and arguments during pilgrimage.
