This stage begins around age 2, as children start to talk, and lasts until approximately age 7. From the age 3-7 children become aware of reversibility. This is when a child starts learning math, they began to learn that you can write the same equation multiple ways. From the age of 5-8 months object  permanence is not there. So when a baby see an object, and then it is taken away, the child doesn´t understand or know that the object is still there. The child can also forget that it was even there in the first place.

This stage lasts around seven to eleven years of age, and is characterized by the development of organized and rationale thinking.  From 9-11 years old you are able to view the world more and more from another´s point of view. The example that we used is the way 6´s and 9´s work. Skills such as logical thought, deductive reasoning, and systematic planning also emerge during this stage. From ages 11 and on people begin to grow the ability to think abstractly and symbolically. This is when you start learning to compare the things around you, you create ideas of how symbols work.
