Romeo is impatient with love. He rashly jumps from his love of Rosaline to his love of Juliet. This shows how Romeo really does not have any emotional recuperation, and there is no span of time in which he changes his mind (i.e. days, weeks, months, etc.). He changes his feelings about Rosaline immediately after he meets Juliet. Moreover, this rashness and impatience is dangerous, and Romeo soon learns how it is dangerous.

Juliet says how impatient she is of waiting to wear her wedding dress, like a child who can't wear their new clothes. This shows how Juliet is very short-tempered and gets irritated when things don't go her way. Furthermore, the very next scene is showing Romeo's impatient face when he is in the car and fighting Tybalt. These two scenes that are both showing impatience back-to back, is demonstrating how Romeo and Juliet can both be very annoyed as well as restless.

Friar Lawrence is a very patient, elaborate, and wise man. Friar Lawrence is able to show his patience by carefully calming down an irrational Romeo from taking his own life. He then goes on to tell Romeo that banishment is better than death because they will be able to solve the problem with Romeo still alive. Friar Lawrence then tells Romeo that everything will be okay, and he tells him that they will appear to the Prince explain Romeo's actions and hopefully pardon Romeo's crime. With this Romeo could return to Verona with Juliet and retie the bonds broken between the two families. The whole plan only required time and patience. Both of which Friar Lawrence had was able to give Romeo hope. Had Friar Lawrence not been calm and patient Romeo might not have walked the Earth.

In Act 4, Scene 5, Friar Lawrence proves how patient he is when the Nurse finds Juliet "dead." While Capulet, Lady Capulet, and the Nurse are crying over Juliet's dead body, Friar Lawrence becomes very wise and calms them down. He reassures them that Juliet is in a better place, and that they should wipe away their tears. Friar Lawrence shows how responsible and patient he is, even when the situation is at the worst. Instead of weeping, Friar came up with turning the wedding into a funeral in honor of Juliet.

Both Romeo and Juliet show how impatient they are for each other. Such as when Juliet had asked her nurse to ask Romeo when was the ceremony was going to be held at. She impatiently waits for Romeo response as her it takes time for her nurse to deliver the news. Another example would be when Romeo stops to think about his exile he thinks of juliet and impatient
