I made it by strategically placing shapes beside and over/under eachother and matching their colour to the photo  I was working off. Also the titles will be a blend of both festival and the appropriated.

Ultimately I want to create very graphic imagery and interesting compositions. I hope to re-jig some of the more CA focused drawings I made before we broke up. I only have photographs of some of the drawings as most are still in the studio. And if we get access to collect our stuff from the studio before I assess in September, then I will add better photos of them in here also. 

I quite like how mismatched the clothes people wear to festivals and it gives them a chance to literally wear anything with anything. I’ve seen proper fancy dresses paired with wellie boots, cowboy hat, a Pennys backpack and a red ISPCC poncho they bought for €2.50 earlier when the rain broke out.

The face was in the original drawing I did on paper and then translated that across to digital. With a face you can get across a lot of detail and elements such as facial jewellery/gems etc. 

The faceless element came from thinking about how not just one person uses things from outside their own culture when attending a festival, thousands of people do it. 

To my joy, I realised I could keep all of the extras on the face while removing the profile outline and making the nose and ear lines more opaque. 

I blended out the white of the skin into the background torques and it gave it a nice glow effect. I am also going to make animations, at the minute I have only made short ones (a few seconds) but I wanna make longer ones or a range of 1-2min ones. 

I recently got an iPad Pro and Procreate , which I have been getting used to. I’m finding Procreate great and easy to use but still pretty technical which suits me. I had been using photoshop to draw digitally with on a pc but was difficult and the results weren’t satisfactory.

Kind of like how newspapers would layout front covers etc. Doing this took longer than just drawing them all into the one page but I wanted to ensure spacing, spelling and writing style was right before putting the, all together. 

It was a long process and required a lot of photocopying and use of the light box. Fun can’t be had.
First ever concert/festival this year? Not anymore, no milestone yet.
Favourite band playing? Spotify will have to do.
Getting all dolled up in the mad festival fashion? There’s no point, don’t waste the glitter on sitting at home all weekend.
Certain memories can’t be made.
Some people experiment while at festivals... is it a bad thing? No more overdoses, alcohol poisoning can be blamed on BD/EP this year. 
So no bad publicity for festivals this year? Not so bad for them in that sense. 
Road trip to the festival? Cancelled.
Roar trips in general? Possible... inside the 5k limit.
Unless they extend it and the cases lower. 
Understandable though, lower risk of bigger cases if there’s no festivals. 
Empty gap in the summer now.

I had to make two projects for the yellow car animation. And for this one I will have to make at least four.

For this section it took 12 layers to create only 2seconds of motion. Now that I have it done I have noticed some things I should have done differently;
- Ran the time bar to match the music, counting down and the green sliding
- quickened it up again, it goes on for too long before the next image

I added their location, room their home office was in and their jobs. Everyone who sent me the images said they were fed up of working at home overt quarantine (some have gone back onsite to work but some haven't).

the first was exactly as they were, relaxed, nice clean lines all tidy.

the second was fuzzy, stressed and frustrated looking. 

This minimal / linear illustrations I had done were different to the type of drawings I have been doing but I felt this piece needed it. I tried different colour combos but preferred the simple white and orangey/ brown line I had started with.

I made them into a gif, comparing the relaxed to stressed and then I added a voice over of google translate (I was going to use my voice but I couldn't do it). - print on transfer paper and cut to size
- get iron heating and place clean shirt on ironing board
- place transfer paper on shirt, image side down on desired area
- iron continuously for a few minutes, pay attention to the design
- check edges, if stuck well then remove transfer paper slowly and carefully, but it not then keep ironing
- once transferred, remove paper and allow shirt to cool, then wear!
- another fun thing to do is grab a permanent marker / pen % write a word or phrase backwards on the rough side of the paper
- Iron the same way as before, this should transfer quicker
- enjoy

* check details on your transfer paper; some only work on certain types of fabric i.e. denim / dark colours
* if under 18 years, use adult supervision while ironing
