The sweltering summer days were so hot, 

But we were always nice and cool,

In my in ground pool. 

I am from “Don’t break the TV!”

A saying my dad was famous for,

When he was watching football,

On the brown comfy couch.

I am from Grandma and Grandpa,

With their famous crunchy pizza rolls and jiggly jello,

I am from the country air,

My Grandma and Grandpa the Gardeners lived there. 

I am from pumpkin pie at my grandma’s house with family all around,

On Thanksgiving Day, and then my cousins and I,

Get to play. 

At our dinner table, with family, and events from the day,

Tell all what we did, what we did that day, 

I am from home,

And me and my family are one.
