Zones of Regulation helps our students with additional needs to be more self-aware and understand the different emotions, in a CONCRETE way. When they have the skills to 'organise' their feelings, it's much easier for them to talk about, think about and REGULATE.

HOW:

Identification process is done through data collection (CMT), identifying mid-level students with additional needs and/or would benefit from this programme.

PLAN Forward:

Plan to infuse ZOR i.e., Common Zones language for Primary 1 classes in 2025. This include ZOR visuals throughout the P1 classes, easy access to Zones' regulation tools for students and teachers.

-IMpossible (to target late comers, SEN and at risk students)

-ZOR infusion in classes, at a tier 1 level

Students with social emotional issues will join this programme to build on socio emotional competencies once a week

Executive Functioning Skills Programme:

Tier 1 programme where teachers imbue the teaching routine to develop the executive functioning skills mapping out the various skills into three different levels (LP, UP, MP)

We use SWPBS (Schoolwide Positive Behaviour Support) to build a positive school environment and to encourage positive behaviours.

Moving forward, we want to see how we can use ZOR to complement RULER. And incorporating some classroom practices schoolwide
