  • Descended from the Assyrian Church of the East.
  • Eastern Church founded int the era of the Apostles.
  • The Chaldean Faith took root from the lands of the Parthians, Medes, Elamites, and residents of Mesopotamia.
  • The Chaldean rite compared to the other rites is much simpler in form because it lacks a detailed lectionary of scriptural verses.
  • The Church is centered in Iraq, where Chaldeans made up 80% of the Christian population.
  • The Chaldean customs and liturgy were Arabized in the 20th century.
  • Syriac language is still used by Chaldean Christians in their liturgy today.
  • Their liturgy is in relation to the Syro-Malabar rite in India.
