I've always been passionate about mental health and the workings of the mind, even as a young child. I decided to pursue a bachelor's degree in psychology because I have personal experience with the impact that mental health issues can have on people, families, and communities. I now have a better grasp of human behavior, emotional control, and the value of easily accessible mental health care thanks to my education.

In order to develop and carry out initiatives that enhance mental health services within healthcare systems, my ultimate professional aim is to become a hospital director. Building workplaces that put worker well-being and patient care first is what I want to concentrate on. In the future, I hope to start my own private practice where I can offer community outreach, treatment, and educational programs that lessen stigma and encourage mental wellbeing.

More than just a job, this journey is about helping people get the treatment they need and leaving a lasting impression on the mental health community.

Going to Japan by myself for my 26th birthday stands out as one of my most memorable and pivotal events. I had never been to Asia before, and I had never been abroad by myself. In order to experience a totally different culture on my own terms, I wanted to push myself to leave my comfort zone. I learned tolerance, adaptability, and independence during my travels through Tokyo, Kyoto, and Osaka. I became more aware of how vast the world is and how much I can do when I believe in myself after overcoming obstacles like public transit, language problems, and unfamiliar cultures.

Being the youngest manager at Sephora's flagship store at the age of 19 was another memorable event I had along the way. Leading a group of individuals who were frequently older and more seasoned than I was both thrilling and daunting. I learned early leadership, communication, and professionalism skills in that capacity. My work ethic and consistency, not my age or rank, taught me how to get respect. My confidence was bolstered by the experience, which also influenced my current response to obstacles in my career, education, and personal development.

I developed in two quite distinct ways as a result of these experiences: one via duty, the other through curiosity. Together, they have influenced my perspective on independence, achievement, and the value of always being receptive to new possibilities.

I love to travel, sing in the choir at my church, and do Pilates to keep active in my spare time. One of my favorite things to do is travel because I enjoy meeting new people, sampling new foods, and experiencing other cultures. Chicago, Japan, and New York City were my top travel destinations in 2024–2025; each location left me with priceless memories and a fresh perspective on the world. Singing in the choir at my church is another significant aspect of my life. It gives me a great deal of joy and calm, and I adore how it enables me to express myself musically and engage with my community. I enjoy relaxing with my mini Goldendoodle, Dallas, when I'm not on the road or at choir practice. She is vivacious and never fails to make me smile. In order to balance everything else in my life and maintain my focus., I also schedule time for Pilates.

I hope to gain a deeper comprehension of important business ideas from this course, which will help me succeed in the dual MBA/MHA program. In order to apply what I study to actual circumstances, I want to establish a strong foundation in subjects like management, finance, and organizational strategy. My long-term objective is to become a leader, therefore I'm also hoping that this course will help me improve my ability to think critically and make decisions. All things considered, I'm eager to learn from the curriculum and the varied experiences of my classmates in order to obtain a more comprehensive understanding of how various components of a business interact.
