  • The company owner can be a corporation or a partnership. TipLock Gear will be taxed so they avoid double taxation.

  • Members agree on the day to day management of the company. An owner can be a manager or the company can hire a manager. The owner of TipLock Gear will share management responsibility but each will oversee different areas such as design, marketing, and sales.

  • TipLock Gear is located in Illinois, and if the owner dies, their share will be handled according to the operating agreement that was placed.

  • TipLock Gear will raise capitol through a business loan. The owner could bring in another investor, but prefer to keep ownership limited.

  • The owner registered the business through the Illinois Secretary of State. The process was affordable, and chose to handle the paperwork themselves.
