This 2 day foundation co-teaching course will begin to explore the following guiding questions:

1. Why do we provide co-teaching for students with disabilities? 
2. How do we build a culture to develop and sustain co-teaching practices?
3. What are are the core competencies that are needed to move your co-teaching from a novice to expert level?

Day 1 teams will begin to build a vision board that will support them in planning for their new shared classroom. The following learning targets will support them in doing this:

1. How does the way we respond to change impact our co-teaching relationship?
2. How might you prioritize the four domains of co-teaching and the competencies that belong in each area? 
3. Given the evidence on the common challenges in co-teaching how might we plan to engage in those challenges effectively?
4. What "must have" conversations will we prioritize as a team to engage in that will help us to SHARE our hopes, attitudes, responsibilities, and expectations?

Day 2 move into the "what" of co-teaching exploring the idea of; To Clone or Not to Clone. Teachers will explore:
1. How do manage the polarities of what we teach and how we teach it?
2. What are the suggested roles and responsibilities when it comes to planning and providing instruction?
3. How do approach the planning process given these roles and responsibilities?
