         <description><![CDATA[<div><strong>The flag of Norway consists of a blue cross on top of a white cross, with a background of red. When Norway adopted it's flag on July 17, 1821, they pulled in their cultural backgrounds from France, Denmark, and Sweden. The blue cross is from Sweden, the white cross, which is the Scandinavian cross, was taken from the Danish flag, and the overall red, white , and blue colors are from the French Tricolore.</strong>&nbsp; <br><br><strong>The idea of pulling in different things from different countries was actually Frederik Meltzer's idea, a Danish Member of Parliament. He wanted to put Norway's former connection with Denmark, and Sweden put on the flag.</strong></div>]]></description>

In 2010, a lot less people believed because 22% of Norwegian citizens responded that "they believe there is a God". Also, 44% responded that "they believe there is some sort of spirit or life force". But, 29% responded that "they don't believe there is any sort of spirit, God or life force" and then 5% gave no response.</strong></div>]]></description>
