- The key to preventing the spread of norovirus is hand washing. A proper hand wash requires warm running water, soap and rubbing hands together for about 20 seconds.
- Avoid going out up to 48 hours after symptoms have stopped because the virus can remain in stool for a couple days after symptoms stop.
- Clean the whole environment once with soap and water and then sanitize infected surfaces with a dilute bleach solution. Make sure to wear disposable, waterproof gloves while cleaning.
- Dispose of any food that may have been in contact with an ill person

Yes it is reportable. If three or more people are ill with vomiting or have diarrhea within a short time, report the situation to your local Community Health Centre. If a child is sick while at the centre or school, place the child in a separate room and children and staff who are sick with vomiting and diarrhea should stay at home until 2 days after their symptoms go away.

It takes a day or two for symptoms to appear after being exposed to norovirus. The child may experience stomach pains and begin vomiting, which is commonly followed by diarrhoea. Other symptoms include cramps, chills, and a slight fever. The illness usually starts abruptly and lasts one to three days. Complications and serious sickness are uncommon.

https://sneezesdiseases.com/norovirus
