In that process he meets his 2 future friends who are nice, and Harry gets that support that he needed a long time ago from his friends.
The themes is that you can get the same support with your friends as your family.

This shows that friendship can be a very powerful thing and  can get enough support from it to follow your dreams.(rainbows, yay!, follow your dreams kids)

In the show there are 3 orphans (much like Harry Potter since he is also an orphan)and they have a massive fortune (again like Harry)but, there is a person (Count Olaf) who try's to steal their fortune. At first they are forced to live with him but soon people start to notice that he is being mean to the children so they go to different relatives.Olaf try's to kill all of them and in the process all the children want is a loving family that will last and listen to them.
After some relatives are killed the children are sent to a school where they meet 2 other students/kids who's same thing happened to them and together as "friends" are trying to find out where there parents are and why all of this happened.
This has almost the same plot as Harry Potter he is unwanted and later finds friends that go on adventures with him and fight evil just like this show.

I like this quote a lot and it's from Hermione G. one of Harry's friends.She is very witty the smart type a very logical person in general.Harry is amazed at how smart she is and thinks that that's very important, to be a very smart person. Hermione instead tells him that that's not very important she tells him that having friendship and being brave is what is most important.

I like this poem a lot because it talks about how much more your friends can be.They are willing to do so many things for you that even though you get angry at them it will not go on for ever because you are also the friends for them.
Just like harry without his bravery the rest of his friends are nothing.
Without Hermione's wits they are nothing.
Without Ron's loyalty they are nothing.
They need each other.
Their friendship
Their love
