To become adept at fiction writing, these newbies have to write and study. The study part is difficult for two reasons. First, there is a lot of stuff to study up on. Second, the internet is loaded with enough material to overwhelm anyone searching on a specific topic. Some of this content is excellent, some of it is not bad and some of it is simply repackaged cliches. As a result, researching any topic is a hit-or-miss proposition. 

I've been writing fiction for over 20 years and I've experienced this study dilemma first-hand. I've also written on fiction writing for quite a few years. 

To help out those who are trying to master fiction writing, I developed an ecosystem of content built around the topic of fiction writing. 

Before getting in to that, let's define an ecosystem: it's a complex network or interconnected system. In that vein, I put together a graphical list of links and downloadable content that is relevant to new fiction writers. It's a mind-map of stuff that newbies can use to study fiction writing. Whenever you start a new endeavor you face a learning curve. When you graduate from college and start a job, there's a learning curve. Enter a trade school and you'll be on a learning curve for the entire term. Want to take up knitting as a hobby? There's a learning curve for that. So too with writing fiction or non-fiction. They have learning curves. Self-publishing a book and book marketing also have learning curves.
