Hurricane season is very scary as storms brew in the ocean. In 2017 Hurricane Irma headed towards Fort Myers. I remember it clearly. I have never been through one and didn't know what to expect. I remember begging my parents to leave town. We stayed. Finally last minute we left to a relatives house that wasn't near water like us. When it was over I was relieved. Driving home I remember seeing roofs off houses. Water covering over the top of fences and trees blocking roads.
